INTERNATIONAL NIGHT!International Night is a cultural showcase celebrating
community in diversity at Edmonds Community College. The performances you will see tonight are put together by students, faculty, and community
members of Edmonds CC. Through the intercampus support of Center for Student Engagement and Leadership, Housing, and International Student
Services, we are able to showcase our dedication to teaching, learning, and community.
From everyone involved, we look forward to sharing with you our culture through song,

ACT IEdmonds CC Voice Class
Represented by different nationalities, this inspirational song, “What a Wonderful World,”
is performed by the students of Edmonds CC’s voice class to celebrate the diverse world
that many countries and people share.
Valeria VillanuevaPerforming the Peruvian song “Ritmo, Color, y
Sabor (Rhythm, Color, and Taste)” by Eva Ayllón.
Chinese Student AssociationPerforming a famous Chinese poem called
“短歌行 (Short Song Ballad)” by 曹操 (Cao Cao, an ancient leader of China)”.
Baile Folklore Colibri Performing three songs from different regions of Mexico. “La Bruja” is from Veracruz in southern Mexico and highlights the marimba and string
instruments. In “El Tololoche Chicoteado,” we see more high energy movements and polka music. The third song, “Jarabe Tapatio,” is considered
one of Mexico’s national anthem songs.

ACT IIEnjie Lian
Performing two Chinese songs: “Dance of Youth,” a song about the time
of youth; and “Homesickness,” a beautiful but sad melody in traditional Chinese.
Edmonds CC Dance ClubPerforming a dance routine that combines
both the cultures of hip-hop and pop.
Zoe AnPerforming the Korean song “이럴거면 그러지말지
(Shouldn’t Have)” by 백아연 (Baek A Yeon).
Vietnamese Student AssociationPerforming a combination of traditional
Vietnamese and electronic dance music, in three acts: a fan dance about a king who is searching for a lost love; a flash mob dance
based on a folk love story; and an uplifting song about appreciating the value of life, spreading
love to others, and living life happily.
