We have reached the end of yet another year and I have been busy both within the
constituency and in Westminster.
This year, I have:
Completed 13 walkabouts in various wards around the constituency to hear your
views on your doorsteps.
Visited 11 schools throughout the constituency bringing me closer to my goal of
visiting all the schools by May 2015.
Continued to represent your views in Westminster by speaking in the chamber and
submitting written questions .
Campaigned for better Rail and Broadband links for the constituency: National Rail
will shortly be introducing 10 coach trains and Superfast broadband coverage in
Berkshire is at nearly at 90%, approaching 95% or higher by the end of 2017.

This month the Government backed Start-Up Loans Com-
pany announced that it had funded a nine businesses in
Bracknell a total of £60,800. These loans of between
£2,500 and £9,500 are provided with a mentor will be
used by the recipients to help start their entrepreneurial
ideas.
This month, the Office of National Statistics has revealed
that the number of Jobseekers Allowance claimants has
fallen to 1.0% of the economically active population.
At the end of the December the first of 4,500 concrete
panels that will make up the new Broadmoor Hospital
was laid. The £242 Million pound redevelopment will
improve the provision of mental health services and
the new building which will provide accommodation for
210 patients is expected to open by 2017.
Good news from around the constituency
New businesses and reduced unemployment Work begins on Broadmoor Hospital
On Friday 12th December I visited
Royal Mail’s Bracknell delivery office
to pass on Christmas wishes to postal
workers at the busiest time of their
year.
I was shown around the premises by
Delivery Office Manager, Paul Leish-
man, and was introduced to the post-
men and women who are working
hard sorting and delivering mail in the run-up to Christmas.
Our postal workers do such an important job at this time of year and help to deliv-
er Christmas for many people and families in our area.

On 4th December, I chaired a public
meeting with representatives from
Heathrow's Community relations team
and experts in Air Traffic management
from NATS.
I hope the meeting helped clear up
many misconceptions about the flight
paths before during and after the trials.
Heathrow admitted that any future trial
should have a public consultation and
that unfortunately due to the weather
conditions there have been an uncom-
mon number of easterly approaches
adversely affecting the constituency in
terms of noise level and frequency.
It is welcoming to see a more engaged
approach from Heathrow who men-
tioned they are considering an inde-
pendent inquiry into the flight paths to
reassure residents.
I am holding the first of my quarterly public
meetings at Sandhurst Community Hall on at
7:30pm on Thursday 5th February 2015. This
is open to all constituents and gives you the
opportunity to hear about how I have been
representing you in Westminster and ques-
tion me on policy.
If you are unable to make this meeting I will
be holding other Q&A’s throughout the year, I publicise the details of future public
meetings and Q&A sessions on www.phillip-lee.com/news/ and in various local
publications. I hope to see you there as these meetings help me to better repre-
sent you in Westminster and work hard for Bracknell on the issues that matter to
you.
