When you get into SRM, it looks like this.

Notice the Container Names on the left denote the submission period. If the Trial Name says “Run a Trial” then you are submitting the first, new trial for that container. If the Trial Name has a different name, by clicking on it you are editing a previous trial. Notice Program Contacts – this is active all year for submitting contact information for IDCI

All files must be selected before the upload process will begin. You can’t just import just one file.
This is to allow for validation rules to process on the relationships between files. For instance, Special Education records must have matching Student Demographic records.

When running a new trial, you’ll choose files from your machine. Note – all files must be selected before the upload process begins. You can click on “View” to see the headers for that particular file. If you submit a file with different headers, it will show errors here.

When you open the Violation Summary, you get an Excel report of all the errors and warnings which is easy to delegate parts to other staff to correct.

The first place I start on troubleshooting are the 100+ errors – these imply a systemic problem rather than a problem unique to the record. They also tend to be related as they are in this case of missing Exit details.

Presentation Notes
SRM gives a lot of information in the Errors and Warnings – you can drill down to the individual violation details by viewing one of the records and seeing the highlighted areas that influence the violation. By unchecking 1 of these violations, it shows the fields that are influencing the remaining violation.

Presentation Notes
The process of uploading, fielding the warnings and errors will be much more efficient if you correct the information in your information system rather than making one-off edits in Excel or SRM, although those options are available.

BUT WAIT!
RUN THE REPORTS! You’re Finished! • 3 days after • Staffing Reports • Attendance • Support Units • Credentials • Etc.

Presenter
Presentation Notes
When you complete your submission, celebrate! Definitely! However, run the reports 3 days after so you can check for issues. The reports show how the SDE sees your data and that is important for funding and other programs!!

Cumulative Uploads
Staff Snapshot
Corrections
Intro to Attendance & Enrollment | 23
Presenter
Presentation Notes
We require cumulative uploads. Cumulative means each upload has the beginning of the year to the new deadline. Most of the data will be corrected or by the latest cumulative upload. However, Staff is funded off a snapshot from the November data made after the first week of December. That Staff snapshot will not be updated unless a specific request from the Superintendent asks for that update. Corrections to all data are made in the latest Cumulative upload and are submitted in Test and your Regional ISEE Coordinator will move and replace the data in Production.
