• 2006 : Census– Great socio-economic statistics on visible minorities,
single parent families, linguistic minorities, immigration (place of birth), etc. from the Census long form.
• Note: The 2001 Census had a religious affiliation question

How to Access DLI data?
• Some data can only be obtained by request via the DLI contact for the institution (Library)
• Access DLI data through the database: ODESI
ODESI• Ontario Data Documentation, Extraction Service and
Infrastructure• A product of a unique partnership between university
libraries, business, and government via OCUL• supports basic tabulation and analysis online, and
allows for the downloading of datasets into statistical software for further analysis
• Provides metadata and documentation for accurate use and interpretation of data
• Statistics Canada's public-use survey data forms the core of ODESI's social survey data holdings DLI
