Whether it’s the warm ambience of the new Terracotta trim or the cool sophistication of the light grey interior, when you settle into the new Avensis, you’ll feel right at home. Soft-touch materials and metallic details adorn the dashboard for that feeling of quality; the steering wheel is pleasingly multi-functional and what it doesn’t control can be easily accessed through the 8" touchscreen. In fact, the moment you climb inside the new Avensis, your senses will be on overload.

After the stress of a long-distance business meeting or a busy family day-trip, the new Avensis provides a welcome respite. The suspension and steering have been designed so even the worst bumps are soaked up without losing any dynamic poise and precision.

The new Avensis puts your safety fi rst and at no extra cost. By standardising our new and advanced safety systems, part of the Toyota Safety Sense pack, the new Avensis is expected to achieve the maximum 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

The Toyota Safety Sense pack combines four active safety technologies: the Pre-Collision System – available as standard on all grades – and Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beam and Road Sign Assist – available as standard from mid-grade models.

1. Pre-Collision System (PCS)The advanced PCS uses a laser radar and camera to scan for vehicles and objects in the road ahead. If a risk of collision is detected, the driver will be alerted with audible and visual warnings. Then, if necessary, the brakes will be automatically applied to prevent or reduce the severity of the collision.

2. Lane Departure Alert (LDA)Using a camera to detect the lane markings in the road ahead, LDA will alert the driver with audible and visual warnings if the car should begin to move out of lane without the turn indicator being applied – avoiding the risk of a collision.

3. Automatic High Beam (AHB)Delivering a broad illumination in darker conditions without dazzling, a camera detects oncoming vehicles and the rear lights of vehicle ahead, and automatically switches between high and low beam for safer night-time driving.

4. Road Sign Assist (RSA) Recognising roadside warnings such as speed limits and no overtaking, the RSA system will display important safety signs in clear view of the driver on the new colour TFT cockpit display.
