INTRODUCTION

A National Level Mathematics and Science Olympiad is organized in connection with theNational Science Day Celebration.

This national level Mathematics and Science Olympiad is organized by the SarvodayaAward Scholarship Scheme. It is a professionally managed organization run by eminenteducationists and professionals.We have a dedicated team of workforce, experiencedteachers and renowned academicians to ensure meticulous and effective conduct of theexamination.

AIM

To unearth innate talents in the younger generation, and make them fundamentallystronger and competitive with a view to nourishing their brains for a brighter and enterprisingfuture.

SARVODAYA is rendering service to the student - teacher communities and schools to getan exact picture of the level of Scholastic Skills of the students from Nursery to Class X inMathematics and Science. This is being achieved through our National Level Talent SearchExamination, on the basis of extensive curriculum research and students achievement analysisfor the children who are studying under various State, CBSE and ICSE Syllabus.

ELIGIBILITY

Students of any school in the country irrespective of the syllabus are eligible to appear forthe Talent Search Examination and Maths & Science Olympiad as shown below :-

a) LKG, UKG, Class I & II - Talent Search Examination 2015 - 2016b) Class III to X - Mathematics & Science Olympiad 2015 - 2016

SPECIAL FEATURES OF THIS EXAMINATION

Managed and organised by eminent educationists and Principals.National Level Examination.Candidates from any part of India irrespective of the syllabus they follow canappear for the examination.

Only meritorious students are awarded.Timely conduct of Examination and Result declaration.Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Questions for identifying talented candidates.Study materials and model question papers prepared by experienced teachers for reference.Runs with the support and patronage of the Principals, Head of the Institutions and Management.Helps the candidates for improving their scholastic performance, reasoning power and imagination.

SYLLABUS

a) LKG, UKG - Number Works / MathematicsClass I & II General Knowledge

Environmental Science

b) Class III to X - Mathematics, General Science,Environmental Education,Information TechnologyMental ability of the respective classes.

The medium of examination will be English.

MODE OF EXAMINATION

The Examination will be conducted on 10 th January 2016 at selected Centres.

There will be separate examination and awards for classes LKG to Class V. Class VI and VII will beconsidered as one category and Classes VIII - X as another category.

If the strength of the candidates is more than 100 (one hundred) from one school, such institutions willbe considered for examination centres.

All questions will be of objective type with no negative marking for wrong answers.

Since the examination is conducted classwise, the level of scholastic standards and skills in respectiveclass levels will be taken into consideration. Hence, students following CBSE, ICSE and various otherStates syllabus can participate in the examination.

MINIMUM ENTRIES

There should be atleast 20 entries from an institution for it to become eligible for participation.

Date of Examination : 09 - 01 - 2016Time : 10.30 am to 12.00 Noon

FEE

The schools may retain 15% of the amount collected to meet the expenses like postage, bank chargesand other administrative charges. The remaining amount with list of candidates and entry forms to be sentby Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'Sarvodaya Award Scholarship Scheme' payable in Calicut.

Last date for submission of entry forms is 30 th November 2015. All entries posted anywhere in Indiaupto 30 th November 2015 will be treated as valid.

GUIDE / HANDBOOKS

Guides / Handbooks with model question papers will be made available to schools at the followingrates. These materials are designed and prepared by well experienced teachers handling the subjects forseveral years.Cost of Guides / Handbooks :-

The schools may place their orders in the order form attached by 30th November 2015 along with fullpayment as shown in the order form.

(Packing and forwarding charges will be extra)

HOW TO APPLY

AWARDS

The students can register their names by paying the registration fee through their schools.

In recognition of achievements in the examination, the Sarvodaya honours the selected children bypresenting them Cash Awards, Medals, Scholarships and Certificates as shown below :-
