Recommendation• Buy a laptop (lots of RAM, 64bit)• Install Ubuntu, or BioLinux• Force yourself to work on the command-line• Get on your institute’s linux servers• Get on your institute’s linux clusters• Use Google!• Set yourself a task and work at it. Do it yourself. Use Google.
Only ask for help when really stuck• Work at it – the rewards are huge• These skills are in huge demand -> jobs, pay rises, promotion,
papers etc etc
