INTRODUCTION TO FCCI
Flippo Construction Company Inc. is a second-generation employee owned and operated
general and heavy construction business operating primarily in the metropolitan Washington D.C.,
Baltimore Region. The Company was founded in 1971 by B. Earl Flippo and in our years of operation
has grown from a small utility contractor to a major player in our area's heavy construction industry.
We believe strongly in both our motto and our mission statement, hence, the reason for its prominent
display on our equipment and facilities. Our team concept of management is successful because our
people understand that their contributions are fully recognized and rewarded. Our concern for safety as
well as having the best resources available for the professional completion of our projects is paramount in
management's oversight of the company's progress. Our Human Resources Department plays a major
roll in obtaining the best-qualified people, training them and looking out for their safety by constant
evaluation of our field operations and job sites.
Our firm has three major areas of expertise: Heavy Construction, Utility and Service. As you look at our

Our Heavy and Utility Division builds bridges, roadways, retaining walls,
miscellaneous concrete structures, buildings, and underground utilities of all types.
Flippo continues to pursue high-profile projects that demand the best from its employ-
ees. Projects such as the Infrastructure installations at the Yards in DC, Russell Street
Viaduct in Baltimore, utility relocations at the New D.C. Convention Center and the
Pentagon, concrete tunnels and utility relocations at the new Capitol Visitors Center,
road, utility, and plaza restorations at the Kennedy Center, and site and plant piping
installation at the new UOSA treatment plant, are a few examples of Flippo’s

The Service Division is responsible for the utility jobs involving elec-
trical and conduit work, gas pipe installation and long-term repairs,
and maintenance contracts for various owners in the metropolitan
Washington, D.C. and Baltimore areas. Since the early 1970’s, Flippo
has developed long-term relationships with major utility providers
such as Pepco, Verizon, Washington Gas and the City of Alexandria
that has provided the groundwork for many of the service contracts
performed by this Division.
The Service Division performs a wide variety of projects, many of
which require special skills and training that is provided in-house by Flippo. Gas Pipe Fusion and Fit-
ting, HAZWOPER 40, and Hazard Communication are some examples of the training that is provided to
employees of the Service Division.
In addition to installation of gas piping, electric and communication duct, and trenchless work, the Ser-
vice Division also performs a wide variety of service work for many of its customers. Included in this
work are: paving of utility trenches, spill containment, labor and equipment rental, snow removal, sub-
station maintenance, Vactor work and fire hydrant maintenance.

CORPORATE PROFILE
Brian started with the company in 1974 working part time before attending
the University of Maryland. He began working in estimating and project
management, was promoted to Senior Estimator in 1988, and to Chief Esti-
mator in 1990. In 1992 he was promoted to Vice President, and in 1999 to
Executive Vice President. In 2011 he became the company's Chief Execu-
tive Officer. Brian describes Flippo as a customer service oriented com-
pany: "We think that's one of the biggest reasons for our success. We're sen-
sitive to our customers' needs; we build safe, productive, quality pro-
jects, delivering them within budget and on time."
Greg came to the company as Safety Director in 1988, was promoted to Hu-
man Resources Manager in 1990 and then to Vice President in 1996. In
2011 he became President and Chief Operating Officer responsible for the
daily operation of the company. "I work for our employees and am 100%
committed to each and every one of them, both professionally and person-
ally. They are the heart and soul of this company and deserve a great place
to work in a safe environment."
Jeff started working part time with Flippo Construction in 1975 and then
full time in 1977. He worked in Operations holding various crew and super-
visory positions. He was promoted to Equipment Manager in 1992 and be-
came responsible for developing the companies first long term plans for
equipment and facility repair and replacement. In 1995 he was promoted
to Vice President and Executive Vice President in 2011. Jeff is responsible
for the day-to-day operations of our Service Division, Equipment Depart-
ment and company facilities. He has always believed strongly that "Our
people are our greatest asset and Flippo Construction has always been
blessed with good people."
Flint joined Flippo in 1984, and worked as a General Superintendent before
advancing to Service Division Manager in 1998. Flint was then promoted to
Vice President in 2002. He is currently responsible for all of the field opera-
tions and project management functions relating to our utility, bridge, and
heavy construction.

Mike joined Flippo in 1988 as an estimator. He was promoted to Chief
Estimator in 1992. He is responsible for procuring work for the
company. Mike also oversees the company's engineering requirements.
