Ver cal Heat Treatment

ENF is capable of thermal stress relieving, annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering.

13 vertical and 4 horizontal furnaces are used in conjunction with vertical oil and water

quench tanks.  Horizontal spray quench facilities, differential quench tower, and fan air cooling

tower add to our array of  equipment. Furnaces are equipped with state-of-the-art controls to

assure   accurate temperature and furnace operation during the thermal cycle process.  Heat

Stability Testing capabilities are available to measure the stability of turbine rotors under

operating conditions. In addition to heat treating low  alloy steel forgings, ENF has the

capability to heat treat stainless, titanium and a wide range of oilfield and defense specific

alloys.

Ver cal Differen al Quench

Today’s highly engineered rota ng equipment needs components born from ever increasingly

complex designs. Ellwood Na onal Forge’s differen al quench towers play an important role

in bringing these high  concept components to life. Leveraging ENF’s ver cal heat treatment

capabili es the ver cal differen al quench tower is designed to provide up to five   different

levels of localized hardness and strength characteris cs as required by the engineer.
