The aim of this course is to acquire the student the basics of general geology including the earth sciences, minerals, rocks and their physical, chemical and mechanical properties.Other goals, involves: provide the students with different applications Engineering Geology in the field of Civil Engineering, such as, tunnels, foundations, groundwater, earthquake, and others structures. This will be achieved through understanding the geological structures, mechanical properties of rocks and reading, and understanding geological maps.
