Inform industry participants about the importance of EMC and the IEC procedures and standards for dealing with EMC

Discuss the role of ACEC which advises the Standardization Management Board (SMB) regarding EMC matters

Review the work underway in the two principal horizontal EMC committees in the IEC -- CISPR and TC 77

Provide an example of EMC work ongoing in an IEC product committee, TC 62 (Electrical Equipment in Medical Practice)

Review several important IEC test standards and discuss EMC protection methods

Terms EMC = ElectroMagnetic Compatibility HF = High Frequency: f > 9 kHz LF = Low Frequency: f < 9 kHz
