Import
• From camera
• Or file
NOTE: Student computers are better different…
… in that they can capture direct from webcam.
You can import from your phone…
Connect to computer…
… and browse for footage or images.
But with iphones you need to drag to desktop, then into WLMM
• Automatic• Or manual
Edit
Editing options; making cuts
Trim unnecessary parts
Split longer clips
Editing options; manipulating the image
Grading options …
…and brightness.
Add a soundtrack to all or part of the film…
… and then you have access to music tools.
Finally… titles, credits, subtitles…
As with music, the usual rule is that it will insert wherever the playhead is.
Export
• Online• Or disc/ file
Until exported, the file is not a film; it is a WLMM file and will only open in this program.
Getting students to export to YouTube means you don’t have dozens of (large) files to deal with.
Get students to upload; make videos private or don’t tag them meaningfully.
