Guess the Invention
Slides 2 and 3 show the “Halycon”, a concept car for the future designed by Ralph Taylor-Webb. It’s eco-friendly, with a shape meant to evoke the flight of a glider or owl.
The previous slide shows a toaster-scanner combo. Whatever is scanned (a design, newspaper article, etc.) is burned into your breakfast.
Slide 7’s invention can also be found at the breakfast table. This machine enables you to safely cut your bagel into halves.
Slide 10 shows a credit card sized LED light . Of all the gadgets shown in this powerpoint this is the only one available for purchase, at just $10.
This tricycle is called Aquaduct and was designed by IDEO. According to the website “it was developed to help people in the developing world who have to make long journeys to collect water, which is often unsafe to drink”. Pedaling the tricycle actually powers the filter which purifies the water.
Slide 14 is a portable napping cube, for those with the need to siesta anywhere.
