SPLIT PIPE FOR CONTAINMENT PIPING SYSTEM

curacy for use in robotic interface applications. Single inverted car- riers support loads of up to 600 lb. The conveyors require no hanging or header steel. All structural support is provided within the de- sign itself. Maintenance is easy because components can be ser- viced or modified from the floor. Circle 412 on the reader service card

BLAST ROOMS Empire Abrasive Equipment Co., Langhorne, Pa.

A new series of blast rooms, equipped with pneumatic recov- ery floors, is now available from Empire Abrasive Equipment Co. Benefits include reduced mainte- nance and more precise separa- tion of abrasives from dust and contaminants. Media recovery floors in these rooms consist of gravity-fed troughs that are evac- uated sequentially as an adjust- able PLC opens and closes slide plates at the end of the troughs. The conveying tubes are abrasion- resistant, %-in.-thick urethane; inline valves are excluded to elim- inate wear. The pneumatic recov- ery floor reduces maintenance of moving parts normally associated with screw-type and vibratory floors. A cyclonic reclaimer with a fine-tuning band assures precise reclamation of abrasives, result- ing in more consistent finishes. The reclaimer recycles all types of blast media. Standard room size is 8 ft by 15 ft with a floor profile of only 14 in. in heights. Models with widths up to 10 ft are also
