A leader in Inverter Drives technology
Extensive research and development has allowed YASKAWA to remain at the forefront of motion control and automation technology. This technological leadership has helped to modernise industries such as mining, steel, pulp and paper, chemical, automotive, packaging, machine tool and semiconductor.
The Varispeed E7 is an Inverter Drive dedicated for the European markets. It was specially designed for fan & pump applications. It provides many useful and necessary characteristics to optimise your machine and to reduce time effort and costs through all steps of operation.
For pumps and fans The Varispeed E7 was designed for
HVAC applications requiring a quadratic torque characteristic.
High slip braking (HSB) allows up to 3 times faster braking without the use of a braking transistor or resistor.
The high speed overcurrent limiting function avoids overcurrent tripping and enables restart after power failure, motor stall prevention, attempted restart after malfunction, etc.
The speed search function determines speed and direction of a coasting motor to the required reference speed in both directions.
Environmentally friendly Reliable energy saving function allows
considerable energy savings, especially under part load.
Low noise operation is enabled through the high switching frequency of IGBT during pump or fan operation. It greatly reduces noise due to magnetic transients in the motor and reduces abrasion.
Suppression of harmonic distortion All inverters for a motor output higher
than 18.5 kW use double diode supply to suppress harmonics to about 12%.
User-friendly Installation and Operation Simple to operate – The Varispeed E7 can
be fully installed and operated using the digital operator. The operator is equipped with a parameter copy function and can even be used up to 3 m away with a standard cable. An optional LCD operator with plain text display and the same functions is available.
Quick programming is enabled by showing the most important parameters or those
parameters which differ from the factory’s parameter pre-settings.
Detachable control terminals
The inverter fan switches off when the motor is at a standstill. If necessary, it can be replaced without dismantling the unit.
Global Specifications Certified to UL/cUL and CE
Global fieldbus standards supported RS-485/422 (MEMOBUS protocol) supported as standard, Metasys protocol and Landis-Staefa protocol available, optional cards available for Profibus-DP, INTERBUS-S, CANopen and DeviceNet (LONworks, CC Link & ControlNet.
