Quarry Operations andConstruction MaterialsSg Long Industries Sdn Bhd operates on 640 acre of rock hill with an abundance ofhigh quality granite reserve, to produce and supply various types of Granite StoneAggregates ranging from Blocks to Quarry Dust with a production capacity of 150,000metric tones per month. Other core activities of the company include production andsupply of Bituminous Mixes for the road and building construction, especially in theKlang Valley and the state of Selangor, Malaysia.

Another two major subsidiaries in this division are Sg Long Bricks Sdn. Bhd. and EasyMix Sdn. Bhd., both of which are involved in the manufacturing of constructionrelated materials; i.e. unbaked clay bricks and ready mixed concrete respectively.

Natural Oil Polyoland PolyurethaneMaskimi Polyol Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary company set up in 1997, is involved in themanufacturing and marketing of Natural Oil Polyol (‘NOP’) and NOP basedPolyurethane systems. This products are environmental friendly and are in high demandin industries such as building construction, refrigeration and furniture. Thepolyurethane is used as raw material for cold insulation, pipe insulation, roof panelling,furniture parts, spray foam, car bumper insert and many other related industries.

International ProjectsBina Puri is continuously expanding the company profile throughoverseas project ventures. At present, Bina Puri has completed threemajor highways in India, including the Vijayawada-Eluru Expresswayand Tada-Nellore Expressway in Andhra Pradesh and the Chittorgarh-Mangalawar Highway in Rajasthan.

Bina Puri has also completed a luxurious five star hotel in Kathmandu,Nepal, the Malaysian Embassy and Ambassador’s Residence Building inBeijing, China and an Access Road for the New Bangkok InternationalAirport Project in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bina Puri (Thailand) Ltd., which ventured into Thailand’s constructionsector in 2003, currently is undertaking the construction of 26,717 unitsof affordable houses under the National Housing Authority of Thailandand Private Development projects at nineteen (19) locations in thesuburb of Bangkok and nearby provinces i.e. in Bangplee, Romklao,Bang Pu, Krasaebon, Rama II, Tha Jean, Na Dee, Nong Joak, Suang LungDistrict and Hatai Rai.

KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway Bhd, the concessionaire for KL-Kuala SelangorExpressway (LATAR), is currently constructing the 33 km toll expressway with dualcarriageway with value in excess of RM958million (USD309mil), spanning from thenorth of Templer Park, Rawang, in the District of Gombak to Assam Jawa town in theDistrict of Kuala Selangor.

The expressway forms the north-east link of the Kuala Lumpur Outer Ring Road (KLORR)network as part of the traffic dispersal system within and around the greater city ofKuala Lumpur. LATAR started construction in October 2008 and the expressway isexpected to be operational by the second quarter of 2011.

It now acts as an alternative route to the Federal Road 54 (Jalan Kuala Selangor) andprovides 4 interchanges namely Assam Jawa Interchange, Ijok Interchange, TemplerPark Interchange and Kuang Interchange for easy traffic dispersal in and out of theexpressway; as well as 3 toll plazas located at Assam Jawa, Kuang and Taman RimbaTempler.

LATAR also provides links between major road networks within the Klang Valley bylinking the East Cost Expressway (LPT1), the North South Expressway (PLUS) and thefuture West Coast Expressway (WCE).

UtilitiesHospitalityBina Puri ventured into the hospitality services with our maiden project in Brunei Darussalam.The Group is in the midst of refurbishing and upgrading three (3) blocks of 72 units unoccupiedapartments into modern serviced apartments at Jalan Ong Sum Ping, Bandar Seri Bagawan forthe Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB).

Bina Puri Mining Ventures Sdn Bhd, (BPMV) a wholly owned subsidiary of Bina PuriHoldings Bhd has ventured into power supply activities in Indonesia. Four (4) powerplants are currently operated by generators and they are located at Tobali, Metok,Bengkalis in Indonesia.

BPMV through PT Megapower Makmur, a subsidiary incorporated in Indonesia issupplying power with minimum supply of 2,000KW/h per plant or 48,000 KW/day for theindustrial sectors throughout Indonesia, mainly in Bangka Island, a small island locatedclose to Sumatera, Indonesia.
