The Association of Mine Engineers, Metallurgists and Geologists of Mexico AC, brings together all the Earth Science professionals that day by day contribute to the enhancement of the Mexican mining sector, making it one of the most pros-perous and important in the world.

Under this framework, every two years we or-ganize the International Mining Convention, an event that constitutes the main national mining forum, and one of the largest in a global scale.

Through a highly specialized program, we will focus on approaching you to all the key-players in the Mexican mining sector, whereas you will have the opportunity to establish new busi-ness, connect with the forging institutions of professionals in Earth Sciences, as well as have a direct contact with the authorities of the mi-ning sector

The International Mining Convention will meet for 4 days the key people for the development of the Mexican mining sector, becoming an unparalleled opportunity for the establishment of businesses.

For this edition, we have chosen the city of Guadalajara as venue for the event, due to it re-presents the second largest urban nationwide and is considered the cradle of our culture and folklore

México es una nación con una gran tradición minera, a lo largo de los siglos ha desarrollado esta actividad al grado de convertirla hoy en día, en una de sus mayores generadoras de ingresos.

Somos una nación con gran potencial geológico, nos ubicamos dentro de los primeros diez pro-ductores mundiales en 16 minerales diferentes, destacando como el principal productor de pla-ta a nivel mundial.

La Asociación de Ingenieros de Minas, Metalur-gistas y Geólogos de México AC, agrupa a los profesionales de las Ciencias de la Tierra que día a día hacemos del sector minero mexicano, uno de los más prósperos e importantes del mundo.

Bajo este marco, cada dos años organizamos la Convención Internacional de Minería, un evento que se constituye como el principal foro nacio-nal de minería, y uno de los más grandes a nivel mundial.

Mediante un programa altamente especializa-do, nos ocuparemos de acercarte a todos los actores del sector minero mexicano, tendrás la oportunidad de establecer negocios, vincularte con las instituciones forjadoras de los profesio-nales en Ciencias de la Tierra, así como tener contacto directo con las autoridades enfocadas al sector minero.

La Convención Internacional de Minería reunirá durante 4 días a las personas clave para el de-sarrollo del sector minero mexicano, represen-tando así una oportunidad inigualable para el establecimiento de negocios.

Articles or technical papers may be written in Spanish or English. All submitted articles must be original and have been published or con-sidered for publication in other means of dis-semination, and will be subject to revision by peer reviewers designated by the organizing committee.

Manuscripts should include the following sec-tions:

• Title: Should be short, specific and more in-formative and appropriate to the content of the work as possible. • Authors: Include the name (s) and surname (s) of each author, when the case. • Institution of affiliation: Name of the com-panies or institutions to which the authors are affiliated.• Email: Only the first author’s.• Summary: In Spanish and English and must not be greater than 500 words, but not too short.Introduction: To includes the following points: purpose or reason for the work, location and previous studies.• Methodology: Include a description of the me-thodology used, or the procedures used during the development of the study. • Results: Include the description of the result obtained in the study.• Conclusions: in which the contributions of the work are summarized, and must be numbered.• Acknowledgments: Include the institutions and people who participated in the develop-ment of the work, by specifying its contribution and by mentioning their names.• References cited: Include only the references that are cited in the body of the text. Only is to be cited in the text the surname or full name of the author, as it appears in the original work, ex-cluding names or initials, followed by the year of publication, separated by a comma, for example (Martínez-Romero, 1998) In the section on “ Re-ferences Cited “, references should be ordered alphabetically. In the case of references by the same authors, these will go in ascending chro-nological order (oldest first). References should be written according to the following example:

Los Artículos o trabajos técnicos pueden ser escritos en español o inglés. Todos los artícu-los sometidos deberán ser originales y no ha-ber sido publicados ni estar considerados para publicación en otro medio de difusión, y serán sometidos a arbitraje por revisores designados por el comité organizador.

Los artículos deberán incluir los siguientes apar-tados:

• Título: Deberá ser breve, específico y lo más in-formativo y adecuado al contenido del trabajo posible.• Autores: Incluir el nombre (s) y apellido (s) de cada autor, cuando sea el caso.• Entidad de adscripción: Nombre de las em-presas o instituciones a las que estén adscritos los autores.• Correo electrónico: Solo del primer autor.• Resumen: En español e inglés y con una exten-sión entre 300 y 500 palabras.• Introducción: Que incluya los siguientes pun-tos: motivo o razón por el que se hizo el trabajo, objetivo, localización y estudios previos.• Metodología: Incluir una descripción de la me-todología usada, o los procedimientos utilizados durante el desarrollo del estudio y en los casos que así lo amerite, haciendo referencia a citas bibliográficas. • Resultados: Incluir la descripción de los logros obtenidos en el estudio.• Conclusiones: Resumen de los aportes del tra-bajo.• Agradecimientos: Incluir a las instituciones y personas que participaron en el desarrollo del trabajo, especificando su contribución y mencio-nando sus nombres completos.• Referencias citadas: Incluir solo las referencias que sean citadas en el cuerpo del texto. En el apartado de “Referen-cias Citadas”, las referencias se deberán de ordenar alfabéticamente. Primera Circular / First CallThe article extension should be twelve maxi-mum, including tables and figures. It must be written in Word 2003 or later version, with Arial font of 12 point and single spacing, with margins of 2.5 cm on all four sides. Illustrations such, ta-bles, diagrams, maps, drawings and photogra-phs may be included in the body of the text. The maximum total file size must not exceed 20 Mb.

Figures: Maps, charts, line drawings or pho-tographs should be numbered consecutively according to the order in which mentioned in the text. Each figure must be accompanied by a footnote, indicating the number and description of the same. The description must be accurate and contain the explanation of all symbols and abbreviations used.

Tables: You may also include tables, which must be numbered apart from the figures. The num-ber and the title of the table will be placed on top of the table.

All Figures and Tables (illustrations, photographs, etc.) must be in .tif or .jpg format, with compres-sion at level 10 and at a resolution of 300 dpi.

The Technical committee will evaluate and se-lect 80 of the best contributions based on their importance and relevance to be included as a technical conference (at the discretion of the Te-chnical Committee or at the suggestion of the peer reviewers clarifications or modifications to the work may be requested to authors). The au-thors not selected for the Conferences Program will have the option to be included in the Poster Sessions.

The Full manuscript in a Word file format and a summary curriculum of the speaker must be sent before May 19, 2017 to the Technical Com-mittee, to the following email addresses: [email protected] / [email protected]

POSTERS: A posters session is included in this issue of the XXXII International Mining Convention. To pre-sent a poster an abstract should be send before the May 19, 2017 (please see “Call for Poster”).

El artículo deberá tener doce cuartillas como máximo, incluyendo tablas y figuras. Deberá estar escrito en Word 2003 o más reciente, con fuente Arial de 12 puntos e interlineado senci-llo, con márgenes de 2.5 cm en los cuatro lados. Se podrán incluir ilustraciones como, tablas, es-quemas, mapas, dibujos y fotografías, las cuales deberán ser numeradas consecutivamente, ci-tadas en el texto e incluidas al final del texto. El comité de Trabajos Técnicos evaluará y selec-cionará 80 de los mejores trabajos en base a su relevancia para ser incluidos como conferencias técnicas (podrán ser solicitadas aclaraciones o modificaciones a los trabajos). Convicatoria CartelesCall for Posters

Esta edición de la XXXII Convención Interna-cional de Minería, incluirá sesiones de carteles con la finalidad de tener un espacio donde el conferencista modalidad cartel pueda exponer y discutir con los asistentes información sobre su trabajo y se genere una retroalimentación.

La presentación en modalidad cartel consiste en la exhibición del trabajo mediante un poster o cartel. Los trabajos expuestos en esta moda-lidad deberán ser legibles (texto y gráficos) des-de una distancia de 2 metros. Serán expuestos en un espacio asignado para tal fin junto a las salas de conferencias técnicas.

Para presentar un cartel se debe de someter un resumen con las siguientes características: de-berá presentar con tipografía “Times New Ro-man” de 12 puntos sin exceder 400 palabras, y este deberá constar de: título corto, autores y adscripción, introducción al tema y objetivos, material y métodos utilizados, resultados, dis-cusión y conclusiones.

El resumen para participar deberá ser enviado antes del 19 de mayo del 2017 al Comité Orga-nizador de Trabajos Técnicos a las siguientes direcciones de correo electrónico [email protected] y [email protected] resumen deberá ser enviado antes del 19 de mayo del 2017.

Los carteles que deberán contener la informa-ción más relevante y estar profusamente ilus-trados. Dimensión de carteles: alto máximo 1.00 m, ancho máximo 2.00 m.

Los participantes deberán imprimir sus carteles y durante la convención, colocarlos en el lugar que será previamente definido, se les asignará día, horario y lugar para colocarlos y atender du-das y comentarios de los asistentes.

This issue of the XXXII International Mining Convention will include poster sessions with the intention of having a space in which pos-ter authors could present and discuss with the attendees the information presented in their work.

The poster presentation consists on the exhibi-tion of the work through a poster. A poster ses-sion means to present data and interpretations within to discuss in with whoever is interested. A poster session often, present work in pro-gress. The valuable part is that the authors get a lot of feedback and discussion and there is a lot more time for talk, so authors get a wide variety of feedback.

The data and interpretations should be legible from a distance of 2 meters. Posters should contain the most relevant data and interpre-tations, and should be printed in a space of 1.00m tall and 2.00m wide. Max.The posters will be presented in an area desig-ned for that purpose close to the conference rooms.

The present a poster an abstract should be sub-mitted in word format in font new roman 12 not exceeding 400 words, and should contain: short title, author(s) names, and their affiliation, e-mail of the presenting author, introduction, objectives, methods, results, discussion and conclusion.

Participants should print their posters to be present during the meeting, and post them in a previously designated defined hour, space and room.
