On behalf of the SANKER CUP Organizing Committee, I have the honor to invite

You to the 13th International Karate Tournament MINSK OPEN - SANKER CUP.

SANKER CUP is the one of the largest competition in Eastern Europe. Western

and Eastern teams traditionally take part in.

In the previous years SANKER CUP have given a good reception to karateka’s

from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Estonia, Georgia, Iran, Iraq,

Israel, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Syria, Ukraine,

Uzbekistan.

Tournament will be held at October 6-7, 2017 in the one of the best European

sports complex “Minsk-Arena” (website: http://www.minskarena.by/).

We will be glad to see You and Your team in Minsk on our event!

Information on new rules of visa-free travel available at Ministry of Foreign

Affairs of the Republic of Belarus website (direct link:

http://mfa.gov.by/en/visa/visafreetravel/).

The new rules introduce the visa-free entry through the border checkpoint at

the Minsk National Airport and the visa-free stay in Belarus for up to 5 days for

the citizens of 80 states.

These are 39 countries of Europe, including the entire European Union, Brazil,

Indonesia, the USA, Japan, and other countries.

The provisions are the official invitation to the tournament.

WKF RULES

1. Tournament will be held according to the modes listed below, depending on the number of competitors in the category:

up to and including 4 competitors: round-robin tournament (single 3rd place).

5 and more competitors: single-elimination tournament with full repechage (two 3rd places).

INDIVIDUAL KUMITE MALE SENIORS OPEN: single-elimination tournament with full repechage and 3rd place match (single 3rd place).

2. Duration of single fight:

age U10 (8-9): 1 minute (up to 6 points).

age U12 (10-11), U14 (12-13): 1 minute 30 seconds.

other age groups: according to the WKF rules. 3. Kata:

age U10 (8-9): Heian (Pinan), Gekisai-dai. Possible to be repeated every second round. Final – other kata.

age U12 (10-11): 1-2 round Heian (Pinan), Gekisai-dai. Further according to the WKF rules.

other age groups: according to the WKF rules.

AWARDING

Winners will get a diploma, a medal and a cup. Medal-winners will get a diploma and a medal. There are prize moneys in category INDIVIDUAL KUMITE MALE SENIORS OPEN:

for the 1st place: 500 EUR.

for the 2nd place: 300 EUR.

for the 3rd place: 100 EUR.

SCHEDULE

October 6, 2017: 103, praspiekt Pieramožcaŭ, "Victoria Olymp Hotel " (★★★★): 15:00-19:00 – Mandates Commission (meeting room "London"). 17:00 – Seminar for referees and judges (conference hall "Calgary").

PARTICIPANTS

Combined commands from different countries, regions, and sporting clubs are allowed. Competitor’s age is determined by date October 6, 2017. The amount of competitors in team is unlimited. Up to 10 team members – 1 coach accreditation; from 10 to 15 – 2 coaches; over 15 – 3 coaches. The following documents are required and should be provided on Mandates Commission: an application in a given form, an identification card (identifying participants and their age), the insurance policy, photo. All the participants, including the representatives, coaches, judges, referees and VIP's should be registered at www.sportdata.org and post their photos there.

EQUIPMENT

Equipment of all participants should comply with WKF rules.

REFEREES

Qualified referees and judges are welcome. All referees will be provided with meal during the tournament. Referees will be paid for their work.

PROTESTING

The deposit for considering the protest is 50 EUR.

20 EUR per every individual section.

30 EUR per team.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE

October 7, 2017: 111b, praspiekt Pieramožcaŭ, Minsk-Arena (Velodrome) 1. Weighing

08:30-09:00 – age U16 (14-15) categories weighing. 09:00-09:30 – age U18 (16-17) categories weighing. 09:30-10:00 – age SENIORS (18+) categories weighing. At the categories of age U10 (8-9), U12 (10-11) and U14 (12-13) weighing will be done randomly by the panel of judges on building participants. If stated weight of participant is exceeded, participant will be disqualified.

2. Schedule 08:45-09:00 – briefing for referees and judges. 09:00-15:00 – competitions in categories: age U10 (8-9), U12 (10-11) and U14 (12-13). 15:00-15:45 – official opening of tournament and awarding. 15:45-20:00 – competitions in categories: age U16 (14-15), U18 (16-17) and SENIORS (18+). 20:00-21:00 – finals in the categories age SENIORS (18+) and awarding. 21:00-21:15 – closing of Tournament.
