In addition to over 70 miles of beaches, San Diego is also home to the historical site of Old Town State Park, the world-renowned San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, Sea World, the Old Globe
Theatre, and centrally located Balboa Park, with its 13 museums, Japanese Garden, outdoor organ pavilion, and many other
attractions.
San Diego is also a rich and diverse cultural mecca with a heavy emphasis on the performing arts. San Diego is home to two Tony
Award-winning theatre (the Old Globe Theatre and the La Jolla Playhouse), a thriving San Diego Opera, and dozens of dance
companies, theater groups, and popular musical entertainers. San Diego’s climate make it’s many outdoor concerts at a variety of
venues a particularly enjoyable activity.
The city of San Diego encompasses 72.7 square miles. The county of San Diego covers 4,255 square miles, comprising the city of San Diego as well as 17 incorporated cities: Carlsbad, Chula Vista, Coronado, Del Mar, El Cajon, Encinitas, Escondido, Imperial Beach, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, National City, Oceanside, Poway, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach and Vista.
The main attraction in San Diego is the weather. The average daytime temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius). Most days are sunny. Winter temperatures rarely fall below 39 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius). Average annual rainfall is less than 10 inches and occurs primarily during the months of December through March.

In San Diego you can go surfing in La Jolla or Mission Beach and take the ferry to Coronado Island. Visit animals at the San
Diego Zoo and Safari Park and enjoy restaurants and bars in the Gaslamp District. Also, you can rent a Segway and explore
Balboa Park. Go shopping in one of the many outlets such as Fashion Valley and Las Americas etc. Explore the USS Midway
and hop on the trolley through Old Town San Diego.

San Diego is a safe and modern city. It was chosen as the
second safest large city in the U.S and it is also called
“America’s Finest.”
This city loves different cultures and ethnicities and
has been rated the “most gorgeous beaches”,
for surfers, San Diego is a heaven.
There are events every week and every month! Such as
Comic-con International: San Diego, Pride Parade,
Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival,
Annual Lakeside Redo, Annual Old Town Fiesta
Cinco de Mayo, San Diego County Fair, Fourth of July
Celebrations and many others.
San Diego county spans from the Pacific Ocean to the
mountain and desert environments on the eastern edge of the
county. Spend your time visiting Julian, Borrego Springs,
Temecula, Palomar Mountain and other places.
You can also spend your weekend at Los Angeles as it takes about two hours by car. You can also take train to get there.
