Smooth and seamless with a strong focus on minimalism, Hyundai’s first-ever clamshell hood spans the entire width of the car – minimising panel gaps for a clean, high-tech look.

Precisely modelled surfaces and shapes give IONIQ 5 an angular, almost geometric appeal. Taut and perfectly proportioned, the side graphics are highlighted by flush door handles that vanish to enhance the clean look and aerodynamics.
The crowning glory of the striking front-end is those distinctive LED headlamps with their 256 Parametric Pixels – unique jewel-like design elements.

Welcome to a whole new in-car experience.Featured for the first time with IONIQ 5, and the basis for all future Hyundai EV models, our dedicated new EV platform gives us the opportunity to re-imagine our interiors and offer a new level of roominess, versatility, convenience and tranquility.
A flat floor with front seats that can be fully reclined1 and a flexible centre console that can be slid effortlessly back between and behind the front seats2, all make for an extraordinary experience and maximise the sheer sense of openness.
Designed to handle everything you and your busy life can throw at it, the versatile IONIQ 5 offers plenty of room for passengers and luggage, providing you with a generous boot capacity of 527 litres. With the 60:40 foldable seats folded down and 1,587 litres of space available, IONIQ 5 can accommodate everything you need for a weekend escape or bring back that large piece of upcycled furniture from the restorer.
What’s more, environmentally-friendly materials like eco-processed leather and recycled yarn are used throughout, adding to the sustainability credentials of our manufacturing processes.

Choose from two battery variants: 58 kWh (Standard Range) or 72.6 kWh1 (Long Range). In addition to the standard 2WD versions, the 72.6 kWh battery variant is available as an AWD version with dual electric motors. Here, our signature all-wheel drive system HTRAC™ actively adjusts the driving power distribution to all four wheels to achieve optimal traction in a variety of conditions such as snow, gravel and regular road surfaces. Maximise your efficiency.Two paddle shifters behind the steering wheel allow you to choose between 4 different levels of energy regeneration when lifting off the accelerator. By pulling and holding the left paddle shifter for longer than 0.5 seconds, i-pedal driving function is engaged, increasing the regenerative braking to its maximum level. You can stop the vehicle by continuing to hold the paddle shifter. Pull and hold the right paddle shifter for longer than 2 seconds to activate Smart Regenerative Braking mode, which ensures your regenerative braking settings are optimised throughout your journey in any traffic conditions.

Plug into a world of possibilities.
Available on Ultimate trim, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) enables you to use IONIQ 5’s battery to power or charge any of your electric devices from the kettle to your electric scooter. The V2L function is enabled using an accessory adaptor which fits into the outside charging port.
There is also a 3 pin socket between the outer rear seats that allows you to plug and charge electronic items whilst stationary or driving.

Before your journey.With the Bluelink® app, the ease and joy of driving a Hyundai starts well before you’re inside. The app communicates with your car, bringing you key data such as your charging schedule which allows you to program start and stop charging times, and to make sure that your car is charged when you are ready to go. You can even plan your route in the comfort of your own home or office, then send it to the navigation system in your IONIQ 5 so it’s ready and waiting for you.

During your journey.Hyundai Bluelink® Connected Car Services make driving easier and more enjoyable, without distracting you from the road. You can even control the navigation and entertainment with your voice, so your hands stay on the wheel. Get more reliable traffic and arrival time forecasting, as well as enhanced route calculations, with Connected Routing. Find charging stations, parking spaces and restaurants with Hyundai Live Services that come free for three years as part of the navigation system.
After your journey.Your journey doesn’t always end when you park. If you’re in a busy city, for example, you may have to leave your car some way short of the destination. You can then use Last Mile Navigation to finish the journey on foot. If you think you might have forgotten to lock the car in the rush, you don’t have to worry because your app can lock or unlock your Hyundai remotely. Safety and peace of mind.
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC): Utilises the state-of-the-art navigation system to anticipate upcoming curves or straights on highways and automatically adjusts speed for safer driving. Also, if activated, the set speed also changes automatically whenever the posted speed limit changes.
Lane Follow Assist (LFA): Smart sensors and the forward-facing camera detect when the car drifts from the centre of the lane, applying steering torque to maintain road positioning for safety. The car also estimates the trajectory of the vehicle ahead and adjusts its position accordingly.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA): This system uses the front multi-function camera to monitor the lines of the road. In case of an unintended lane departure, it warns you and can apply counter steering torque to guide the car back to the lane.

Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA): The front view camera and radar sensors warn drivers of imminent collisions with vehicles and objects, applying the brakes when necessary to avoid collisions. The system includes Junction Assist (Turning) on SE Connect and Junction Assist (Turning/Crossing) on Premium and Ultimate.
With Hyundai Smart Sense, our collection of cutting-edge Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, IONIQ 5 has been equipped with the very latest safety and driving assist features for added convenience and peace of mind. This is also the first Hyundai to feature Level 2 autonomous safety technology with Highway Driving Assist 2.
Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA): External cameras and the onboardnavigation system combine to monitor road speed limits, keeping youinformed via the navigation screen to keep your pace at a safe speed.
High Beam Assist (HBA): Less stress and maximum visibility. HBA not only detects oncoming vehicles but also vehicles in the same lane ahead and switches to low-beam as appropriate.

Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA): This clever feature for city driving alerts the driver when the vehicle in front departs from an idle state, like at a stoplight or in a traffic jam.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA): Perfect for car parks. When reversing out of areas with low visibility, the system not only warns the driver if vehicles approach from the side, it also applies the brakes automatically.
Driver Attention Warning (DAW): When a pattern of fatigue or distraction is identified, the system gets your attention with an alert and pop-up message suggesting a break.
Highway Driving Assist (HDA): HDA Level 1 is cutting-edge semi-autonomous driving technology that keeps you centred in your lane and adjusts your speed so you are always at a safe distance from the car in front and within the speed limit. HDA Level 2, available on Premium and Ultimate, offers increased functionality. It can help you while changing lanes or during evasive driving thanks to the combination of collision avoidance assist and blind spot collision assist.
Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA): Radars detect traffic in the vehicle blind spot, warning drivers with an audible alarm when the indicator is used so you can be aware of the traffic around you. It will also take action itself, braking to help avoid a collision. Standard on Premium and Ultimate trims.
