2. Review survey results/data collection-Student Charrette
• Approximately 30 students participated in one of two sessions on October 28, 2014
• Wide variety of interests noted in students in attendance-GSB, student organizations, etc.-very unique
perspectives on how they use or would like to use the Memorial Union
• All very engaged in the process
• Large amount of knowledge sharing between students
• Unique take on design exercises
A. Exercise 1-Visual Listening/Word Association:
• Visual listening: participants are provided a variety of images and asked to identify (4) likes and (4)
dislikes.
• Word association: participants are asked to select words that represent words they want to associate
with the Memorial Union and words that they do not want to associate with the Memorial Union
• 54 words
