Hollister Co. is a west coast oriented lifestyle brand targeted at high school age guys and girls. The brand reflects the evolution of the “All-American kid”. Outdoor sports have a major influence on the brand. Sports such as surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and mountain biking.

The storefront emanates the feeling of a South Seas beach house with California influences. A Spanish tile roof over hangs a front porch entrance flanked by louvered wooden doors opening onto a traditional black and white tiled area representative of a terrace. There is an aged look and feel in addition to a sense of “ old school” quality, classic construction.

The interior is divided into residential sized rooms with proportionately scaled portals. Old fashioned fans, built in bookcases, aged upholstered chairs, weathered fixtures, woven area rugs, pressed tin ceilings, quality wood trim, gray wood plank floors and ceramic tile add to the old fashioned quality residential feel.

Final build-out

Wendy’s and Tim Hortons merged and a combination building was developed. I was able to support the design and architectural teams along with developing site plans for a double drive thru concept. The size of the building, vehicle stacking, overlapping cueing and delivery truck maneuverability were just a few of the challenges posed.

Franchisees from up north and within our boarders kept us busy investigating new combo sites and establishing the Tim Hortons brand with freestanding locations as well.
