    GENERAL MILITARY SITUATION.There has been no marked change in the situation duringthe past week.

Ambushes such as th atat Headfort Junotion are d i f f i o u l t to compete wi th , as thecircums tances make t t im pos sib le to take the pr ot ec ti vemeasures which are normally taken for troops on the road. Kerry, where a
