Simply the Best IRIS Solutions on the MarketIRIS UT leverage ultrasounds to inspect ferrous and non-ferrous tubing alike. Eddyfi’s IRIS UT solutions are particularly versatile, precisely detecting corrosion, pitting, and thinning in tubes ranging from 12.7 mm to 167.6 mm (0.5–6.6 in) in diameter.

Top-of-the-Line Focused UT TransducersWe only include the best focused ultrasonic transducers in our IRIS UT kits. They are available in three frequencies adapted for various wall thicknesses, and three different focal lengths optimized for various tube diameters.

Turbines That Give ResultsEddyfi’s IRIS UT turbines are engineered to leverage the Ectane® 2’s impressive acquisition rate and deliver optimum results for a wide range of rotation speeds. The unique turbine design contributes to significantly reducing bubble formation.

High-Performance Centering DevicesOur IRIS UT kits come with two 3-contact-point, spring-loaded arms linked in two directions to ensure perfect centering. The devices are self-contained and removable from the shaft without losing components or pressure in the arms.

Extra-Small Centering DevicesUnique to Eddyfi, our extra-small centering devices can be used in tubes 12.7–25.4 mm (0.500–1.000 in) in outer diameter (OD), and are compatible with 8.5 mm (0.335 in) and 12 mm (0.472 in) turbines. They are a durable alternative to plastic centering devices and offer smooth inspections with impressive data quality.

Extra-Large Centering DevicesAlso unique to Eddyfi, extra-large centering devices are compatible with tubes and pipes 88.9–167.6 mm (3.0–6.6 in) in OD. They are robust and feature an easy-to-adjust mechanical design offering smooth inspections, even in the presence of internal scaling and deposits. They are also compatible with current IRIS turbines.

Field Results152 mm (6 in) diameter carbon steel pipe, SCH 80 with a simulated 40 % wall loss wear scar, covering 180°. The IRIS solution measured this defect at 43.1 % wall loss, covering 148°.
