With summer but a soft memory, Esther N McCarthy sneaks a peek at the hottest looks for autumn/winter, in an exclusive shoot featuring the designers at Brown Thomas

MACHO models, feminine twists, dress up, dress down, turn it all around. A glorious cacophony of

colours and prints, mixed in with edgy punk and workable wardrobe stables.

Louche leathers, tempting tweeds, pretty pinks, oversized silhouettes — if the fashion weeks have been anything to go by, there's no need to fret about working with a look that will suit you — there's something for all shapes, all styles and all persuasions coming for autumn and winter.

We've seen models suited and booted, marching down the runway doing edgy punk and uncompromising prints. And we've seen them float in a haze of petal pinks, showcasing ultra femininity with flutter and finesse. From dusty, softest rose to beautiful, blushing berry, could pink be the new black?

There's Isabel Marant doing punk, Victoria Beckham doing suits, Chanel doing prints and DKNY really bestowing pink with power hue status.

Masculine moments are there too, showing what clean cuts and liber confidence can do to a look. Donna Karan pays particular attention to tailoring with feminine flicks here and there.

Ornate patterns dominate too with eyecatching designs and oversized garments transforming into glorious palettes of colour and creation.
