I note from the BrentfordTWS community website that there is a proposed Techno Rave event applicationfor 4 June to be held in Boston Manor Park.
I oppose this application on the grounds that :
1. it would be a noise disturbance to local residents.2. lt would create a precedent for future such events to be held3. Boston Manor Park is a local amenity and as such should not be used for this type of event.4. Given that up to 1,000 visitors would be l ikely to attend there is insufficient parking on the park site

Point taken, but my concern is over the risk of public nuisance through noise pollut ion from such an event, havingexperienced it before as a local resident. The site is immediately ad.iacent to a public park and planned for summer- when the park is at i ts busiest with chi ldren and famil ies. Thgsiteisatthecentreofpublicspacesurroundedbyresidential dwell ings. I know people l iving on the other side of doston Manor Park, in Syon Lane, over a mile fromhere, who were also disturbed in 2014.
lf this l icence isBranted, local residents wil l be veryaware of, and impacted by, anycriminal behaviourand/ordisorder and public nuisance - more aware in fact than in 2014, as i t is planned to happen in the daytime.
I would seek reassurance that the necessary offcers (either local authority and/or police) wil l be on duty and wil l ingto act in the event of public nuisance, criminal disorder etc - which they weren't in 2014 - and most importantlythat they ensure the gig comes to an end at the t ime specif ied in the l icence application.

The last time such a gig was held in BMP it was done throughout one March night/morning in 2014, from around1am untilgam on a Sunday, without permission or a licence. Presumably this application isfrom the same peopiewho held the illegal rave that night. The noise was unbearable and made sleeping absolutely impossible. Becausethe clocks had gone forward that night, the environmental noise team had knocked offearly and the police wereextremelv slow to resDond.
Despite the exact location being reported to police on that occasion {in the end my husband went out on his bike ataround 6am to find it)and despite a conversation on the spot with officers who had finallyturned up, nothing wasdone. Complaintsthe following week frcm many localresidents resulted in an apologyfrom the police fortheir lackofaction-there is loca! press report here. http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/news/westlondon-news/oartv-undef,flvover-m4-boston-5897199 Drunk or wasted people staggered out ofthe park throughout the morning.
I have no confidence that such a gig willend when it says itwill, and if it doesn't that anything will be done to close itdown. I object to this application and would really hope that ilis refused.

I have read with horror of the proposalto hold a 'music festival' in Boston Manor Paak on 4 June, from noon to 11 pm,which anticioates 10.000 visitors.
The Dark is far too close to residential arcas to make this a viable prcposition. The loud 'music' noise for residenlswould be unbearable, to say nothing of the noise generated by.vehicles and people. This amount of use would alsoresult in damage to the park and mounds of litter tPlease reject the application for a licence.

Having recently observed the article in the local Gazefte and noted the notice attached to the parkgate,
I have decided to write to express my support for the upcoming event.
I feel thatin general Hounslow and West London in general islackinginitspromoljonofliveevents,
I have previously had to travel into town or east London, such as the docks for such an opportunity.
Previous events I have attended by this organiser have been well presented and with good secu tyand better than expected logistical planning. All in all a good expedence.
As a Hounslow resident ( yes, the address below is actually in Hestonl I am pleased that the Council isseeking to make better use ofits parks spaces and raising revenues as well as the secondaryincomethat such an eventwill bring. Also, as a former student at a local school offBoston Road, I had alwaysIooked upon this park as something ofa forgotten place and am pleased that new uses for this spaceare being found.
I can only hope that such events as well as raising the lrofile of the area and the park and in raisingfunds, which will be used to offset increasing cuts to essential local services.
I look forward to attending future events in this and other such spaces in the future.

The likelihood is that you will receive less support than complaints, as the younger generation are less likelyto make their options known via this format. I totally support the festival and feel it could become an annual€vent, attmcting lots ofmoney and selfpromotion to the borough and the great space of Boston Manor Park,which is gready needed as I feel the park is a largely unknown space to most Londonerc.
I sincerely hope you will allow this festival to be held at Boston Manor Park.
