IS IT THE NETWORK, OR THE APPLICATION? Users in different locations of an organization (main office & branch office) are reporting slow performance of intranet sites. What is causing the problem and why? Is it the network, the applications, or the infrastructure that needs troubleshooting, or a combination? ISP device is experiencing very high latency of 4 seconds. Diagnosed using NetPath Services dashboard in NPM. Troubleshooting: Contact ISP to fix issue on their end. Troubleshooting: Use load balancing or clustering to reduce the load on this IIS server. IIS is also performing slow because the connections spiked to 154% of their normal peak. Identified IIS performance issue using SAM.
