My name is Isaac Moody. Thank you for takingtime to look at my portfolio.

I love design. Its music for our eyes. It elicitsemotion and can set us at ease. We can absorbit with little effort, or active concentration, andjust like music, it can communicate acrosslanguage, and cultural barriers.

It also shares the risks of music. In the processof creating, one out of place mark can set thewhole piece out of tune. It requires persistence,careful consideration, and the readiness to failto create something beautiful.

I would really love to now show you the mainbody of my work, and I hope you enjoy what

you see.

Special Project.

I created these two iOS app icons above using Adobe Illustrator CS5. Theyrepresent two parts of a communications tool used in a retail environment.

I also collaborated with the engineer and my partner on this project, to direct theuser interface and overall user experience of the apps. I wanted us to achieve askeuomorphic-type design for the interface. We went with the chalkboard and this

helped guide the rest of the look and feel on the project.

The roll out also involved some marketing, illustrated at the bottom-left.

Creative Industries Precinct, Kelvin Grove, Queensland, event proposal.

This was a lot fun creating these pieces of artwork. The layout was created inIllustrator, with parts imported from Photoshop.

There is a poster (above), desktop wallpaper (below left), and a keynote slidetheme (below right) as part of the materials created.

Its a throwback to cold-war era, B-movie posters. Playing on that mystery, theevent was designed to bring people together in the local area, celebrating locallysourced talent and resources.

Audition marketing materials.

A locally based, professional childrens singing group was wanting to expand theirtalent pool and asked me to create a mail-out yer. It was printable and also aninteractive PDF with a button embedded to allow the reader to submit anapplication easily.

The two images below are the header and footer for the email sent to candidates.

The design style helps set the tone for the callout straight away.

University Gala Ball, event proposal.

This small piece of artwork was designed for an event to represent the differentdepartments of the Creative Industries faculty at Queensland University ofTechnology using the symbolic images impressed into the feather mask.

The event was proposed to be one which showcased talent and allowed fornetworking between students and industry professionals. It was about making themost of the transition from study to real-world practise.

The artwork was also used on the handout below summarising the proposal.

Print work for QDeck.

A cross-section of the print work I completed for a local tourist venue, QDeck, theQ1 Building observation deck, now known as Skydeck, located in Surfers Paradise.

It is situated on level 77 of Q1 and has some amazing views up and down the EastAustralian coastline. On Friday and Saturday nights, they stay open until midnightwith a premium cocktail bar, QBar, hosting, and local DJs providing theentertainment.

Coursework.

As part of my Communication Design study at Queensland University ofTechnology, I had to come up a product and all of its design materials including,instructions, packaging and marketing materials.

Here are a few excerpts from that work, and may I introduce you to the product I

called: Vu.

Picture your TV is made of clay and you could mold it into an shape you like, andthen place it on any surface. Now morph it and shape it again. It was designed tobring fun, magic, and physical interaction back to moving image.

Heres just a few of my favourites from over my time drawing, and making.

Down the bottom of the page are a couple of T-shirt designs I put my hand up to doin some of the community theatre shows I have been involved with. Guiltypleasures.

Poster design.

Is there anything better than sitting down and spending hours placing lines and texton a page to create a poster?

This is where it all began for me about 15 years ago, discovering the joy of desktoppublishing. Not being the worlds best illustrator, this was a godsend. Ive come along way since those MS Publisher days, yet at the same time I havent moved aninch, still drawn to, and mesmerised by the rewards of print design.

And I dont think that will change.
