In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of a real media product?

DEVELOP? My product developed from more research and more use on photo

shop. Also I tried to find improvements and new ideas to help produce a professional quality magazine that could be sold on the market today.

CHALLENGE? I believe I did challenge the the forms and conventions

of a music magazine as what I tried to include was a gap in the market. The conventions of a band were not typical as I had the instruments in the picture, I also create a unique image .

USE?I used ideas, codes and conventions of music magazines that are already on the

market to see how they are so successful. I use similar color themes like NME magazine, the layout and the language.

Representation of social groups

• In my magazine the representation I aimed to portray is of teenagers. The demographic ideas I wanted to portray through my picture and also the choice of colors the of the type of people who will listen to indie pop music and will be buying my music magazine.

• Use of media technology: Facbook, twitter, YouTube and Myspace

• Blind folds- representation of an individual personality and they give an ideological meaning that teenagers are outsiders in society.
