For Oppression will end as on the day of Midian

For Military uniforms will burn!

the word “infantry boot” is a loan word from Assyrian

They Proclaim his Name

Option A: “A Wonder of a strategist, El-the warrior; Everlasting care-giver (Father); Captain of peace”

Option B:

“The warrior God is planning a wonder”

“The everlasting Father is [planning] a captain of peace”

“wisdom and understanding” = judicial capacity

“counsel and might” = military strategy“knowledge” and “fear of Yahweh” =

obedience and faithfulness toward God

hears) Smites the “arrogant” with the rod of his mouth

(cf. Rev 19:15) From the mouth of Jesus comes a sharp sword
