INTRODUCTION

Have you ever been travelling and found that you have lost your way?

Or have you been stranded because your car broke

down?

Page 3: Isaiah 9:6

It’s easy sometimes to get stranded or lost.

Both physically and spiritually as well.

The prophecy of Jesus birth tells us that He was no ordinary child.

He was extraordinary.

Page 4: Isaiah 9:6

Why was Jesus called “Mighty God”?

He is a mighty God who is able to rescue us.

He is a mighty God who is able to save us.

Luke 19:10 – “Seek & Save”

Page 5: Isaiah 9:6

1. Jesus knows where you ARE.

He knows the roads you have travelled.

He knows the turns you have made.

He knows your dead ends.

Page 6: Isaiah 9:6

He knows you better than you know yourself.

When Jesus met the woman at the well, He asks her for drink of water.

Page 7: Isaiah 9:6

The Samaritan women is taken aback that a Jew is talking to her.

He begins to talk to her.

Page 8: Isaiah 9:6

Offers her living water. She becomes interested.Jesus puts her on the spot.

Page 9: Isaiah 9:6

Her lifestyle is exposed.Jesus does not stop there.Exposes her lifestyle even more. (John 4:17-19)

Page 10: Isaiah 9:6

Jesus knows her life.Jesus knows her heart. Her lifestyle is completely exposed. He knows what she had done

and with whom.Jesus knows the same things

about you and me.

Page 11: Isaiah 9:6

He knows the spiritual shape you are in.

Do you know where you are?Remember – Adam & Eve when

God was looking for them.Did God really not know where Adam was?

Page 12: Isaiah 9:6

2. Jesus knows what SHAPE you are in.

In the story of the prodigal son, the son runs off with the father’s money and spends it all.

He ends up broke, dirty and in the pig pen.

Page 13: Isaiah 9:6

Becomes hungry and even pig food looked good.

Starts to think.Gets up and heads for home.Father sees him when he was still “far off”.Runs to greet him. Hugs him.

Page 14: Isaiah 9:6

Orders the best robe, puts a ring, sandals.

Luke 15:22-24What shape was he in?Thinner, dirtier and was smelly.Yet, the Father loved him. What shape are you in?

Page 15: Isaiah 9:6

God knows what shape we are in.

Romans 3:23 – “All have sinned”God loves us just the way we are

but He loves us too much to leave us that way.

He is willing to bring us in and build us up.

Page 16: Isaiah 9:6

3. He knows how much TIME we have left.

Only God knows how much time you have left on earth.

Hebrews 9:27 – “Appointed time – judgment.”

This verse does not talk about the number of days.

Page 17: Isaiah 9:6

It talks about what happens after we die.

We should be more concerned about judgment rather than how long we have.

We need to be concerned about whether we will walk the streets of gold.

Page 18: Isaiah 9:6

Or whether we will live forever. Our God knows how much time

we have left.Let us make the best of it.

Page 19: Isaiah 9:6

Conclusion

God knows our efforts. How hard we have tried to be good.

No matter how good you are, you still need a Savior.

Only He can rescue us.Eph.2:8-9 – “Not a reward”

Page 20: Isaiah 9:6

Our rescuer will not come unless you call on Him.

Romans 10:13 – “Calls on Jesus.”Jesus is our mighty God.He has the power to seek and

save the lost.Where are you today?
