• In response to disasters
• for humanitarian assistance
• To improve coordination among all responding agencies
• To collect and analyze information on the disaster from relevant stakeholders
• Disseminate information on disasters to relevant stakeholders
• Promote the preparation for disasters at all levels of government
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC)
• Implement and manage information management systems
• Strengthen the communication links with district level EOCs, other response agencies, government agencies and other stakeholders to improve communication and coordination.
• Enhance the capacity of Ministry of Home Affairs staff through on the job training, workshops and mentoring.
