Randall L. Busch, MD board certified in

Medical School, Chicago, IL. Dr. Busch completed his

Meet the Candidates - LegislativeForum:The Winnebago County Medial Society and the
Winnebago County Medical Society Alliance co-sponsored
a Meet the Candidates night in October prior to the elec-
tion.The candidates discussed issues of importance to
physicians, health care entities and our community.Topics
discussed were: health care reform, tort reform, medical
practice act, out of control spending, state pension fund-
ing, scope of practice issues, accountable care organization
at the state level, expansion of Medicaid, workers comp
reform, taxes, and the need for legislators to work togeth-
er across party lines to accomplish goals.We look forward
to working with those elected in the future.
Reception – Wine Tasting:The Winnebago County Medical Society held a reception
congratulating Dr.William Kobler on his recent election to
the American Medical Association Board of Trustees. Dr.
Kobler spoke about his beginning at the county medical
society and with examples like Dr. Joseph Perez and Dr.
Robert Behmer as guides and the multiple positions
including President, Board Chair and Speaker of the House
at the Illinois State Medical Society. He looks forward to
representing all physicians in the AMA family. He is excited
to represent the AMA in a positive direction as it takes on
challenges of patient outcomes, medical education and
physician advocacy. He thanked the county and state med-
ical societies that have supported him for so many years.
New physicians to our community and new members of
the medical society were introduced and welcomed.
Guests enjoyed complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine
samplings thanks to the sponsorship of AcceleratedRehabilitation Center.
