Transylvania County
SPARK Training
Staff from Transylvania County began receiving SPARK training in the 2010-11
school year with the KBR Grant. Transylvania County has 7 active K-8 public
schools in 2010-2011. Of these 7 schools, 6 schools (or 86%) have received
SPARK training. At these schools, a total of 9 PE teachers and 1 coordinator
have been trained in SPARK. Table 1 shows the Transylvania County K-8
schools that have received SPARKTM training and the number of staff trained.
FitnessGramTM Response Rates are also given for each of the K-8 schools.
