Starting off slowly, the NLBC will be held in conjunction with the ISST tour stops once a month. We hope to get the word out this first year and grow enough to move it to its own day and weekend next year. This year we have started out with one scratch division but expect to add a Women’s’ Scratch and a Handicap Division next season. Format is a very competitive one with 6 games of qualifying. Top 6 bowlers in a division will move onto 6 games of match play with bonus pins for the win! Pin fall from qualifying carries over into match play. Another format that will be tested out when space allows, would be 4 qualifying games, cut to top 16 for double elimination matches. We also offer brackets for $5 and High Game Pots for $10. Prize fund will be paid on a 1:5 ratio, which means a minimum of 30 bowlers to get the top 6 in match play paid out. If the top female bowler this year does not make cut or receive a payout, she will be awarded $40 as the top female finisher. Check us out on Facebook, email [email protected] or call/text 309-369-3862. ISST Dress Code

Rule #16. Bowlers must be dressed in proper attire when checking in; a shirt with a butter-fly or mock collar and dress pants for both boys and girls. USBC youth jerseys will also be ac-ceptable. No hats, jeans of any type, skirts, skorts, shorts, spandex, yoga pants or t-shirts are allowed.

In the past, due to the heat in August, the first two events allowed bowlers to wear shorts, skirts and skorts. This is no longer acceptable due to concerns regarding styles and appropriate lengths. If you have any doubts about your clothing being acceptable, it is best not to wear it. You may bring the item to a tour stop and ask Patti if it is acceptable, then change later.

THIS RULE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED!

When did you start bowling the ISST? 15

What is your favorite thing about the tour?

My favorite thing about the tour is being able

to learn about patterns and being able to ex-

perience them firsthand.

What kept you going through the hard

times? Knowing that I have a strong sup-

port group and no matter what or how I bowl,

I know they will be proud of me.

What advice would you give to someone

who’s just starting the ISST? It’s not sup-

posed to be easy! Don’t get upset if you don’t

shoot what you expect to and lastly, make new

friends! I’ve met some of the most amazing

people though ISST.

Who’s your biggest inspiration? My big-

gest inspiration is my cousin, she doesn’t

bowl, but she has overcome so much adversi-

ty.

How many times have you been to Jr.

Gold? 2

What is your positive take-away from Jr.

Gold? Accomplishing my goal of making it

to the second cut.

What is your negative take-away from Jr.

Gold? Only having 14 games instead of 15.

Overall, what has bowling done for you?

Bowling has given me an opportunity to bowl

in college and in high school. Lastly, it’s giv-

en me the chance to meet life long friends that

share the same passion that I do for the sport.

The various personalities that are all brought

together to participate in a sport we love.

What kept you going through the hard

times? Determination and motivation.

What advice would you give to someone

not win you this tournament, making spares is

the key to success.

Who’s your biggest inspiration? I would

say my parents trying to be as good as them.

How many times have you been to Jr.

Gold? 5

What is your positive take-away from Jr.

Gold? Awesome learning experience and a

lot of fun.

What is your negative take-away from Jr.

hot. Bring a fan.

Bowling has defiantly changed my life. It has

kept me away from bad things that most high

school students come across.
