Dear friends,

I would like to appreciate the magnanimity of our board members to host dinner for the whole club and would like to thank them for the same.

Celebrations at the village was truly a colourful, fun-filled family event. It was indeed a memorable day with lot of fun and frolic and thanks to Inner wheel sisters for their active participation. .

We the board members wish our annets Manu and Sumukh a “Bon Voyage and all the Very Best in Life”.

Friends lets all join our hands and make “Samartha - 2012” a grand success.

Touchdown confirmed, safe on Mars. The one-ton, six-wheeled laboratory named Rover, nailed an intricate and risky touchdown late on Sunday. When I heard the news I was glad about the success of man reaching out. I hope to edit 'AboutUs' special issue when man sets foot on Mars, pray for me (Ha!).

Rains – they are in excess or short. Schools closed in Coorg for 2 days because of rain and good news for Mysore. Noose was tightening around JUSCo, but now it can breathe for a while. Even then use water justly.

Huge parts of North India have spent the night and much of the morning of July 30, without any electricity after a massive power outage. This is the worst failure of the Northern Grid since 2001. Seven states including UP, Punjab, Haryana, and all of Delhi were plunged into darkness. 370 million people were affected - that's more than the population of the United States and Canada combined. This was because the neighbouring States drew more power than was authorised. People now we know why we should conserve energy. So start it at home today.

LONDON Olympics, so far so good. We can see ourselves on the medals tally. Usain St. Leo Bolt, made thunderbolt shy by running the fastest race of his life. Maybe his parents knew that he is going to beat the thunder and that’s why they named him ‘BOLT’.

Happy reading, Cheers !!!

onouring the young achievers was a touching gesture from the Club. We whole heartedly Hthank the board for sponsoring the event. Our

hearts was filled to see our children being paraded with garlands and cheers. It was very motivating for the children. The felicitations in the backdrop of village ambiance gave it the Midtown touch. The event will remain in our hearts forever.

VILLAGE

Visit

Wooo.... what an evening. It was a message conveyed to all and the meaning of ‘Masth Maja Maadi’ derived. The place was colourful and so were the anns and annets. The hero’s of the evening Sumukh and Manu were cool and calm and received the whole of Midtown’s blessings. Cake was cut, games were played, prizes were won, danced to the beat of drums and what not ? People who couldn’t dance was relaxing under the banyan tree and sipping tea from the street vendor. Pencil sketches of ‘WANTED’ people were drawn. Somebody was driving the auto, a medical student was licking the ice gola. Poultry farmers was at the ladies tailor shop, just sizing up the designs for their chicks. Father and daughter was riding the doll horse. A guy from our club was in jail. Nobody cared about the dinner much because fun was unlimited, but ate because we had to. Had the thrill of having AG and family amongst us. The evening was nothing but ‘ All Hell Broke Loose’
