  • District Cross Country Last Tuesday 7th May, 60 students from our school attended the District Cross Country at

Sawtell Reserve. Three hundred and sixty students competed with all the Bongil Bongil

    schools combined.

2019 marks the final year for William Bayldon School to organise and run this event. A

position we have held for almost 20 years. A responsibility I took over from the last District

Cross Country organisers, Bonville when it was run by Peter Tristram.

I would like to thank our school canteen who have operated a lunch menu during those

years and the many parents who have volunteered. I would also like to thank Michelle

Anthony and Louise Pollard who have assisted throughout those years. Thank you for your

tireless effort, consistent race recording and reliability.

To the students, I would like to thank for your efforts to compete in a fair and honest manner,

your fantastic behaviour and for how tidy you left Sawtell Reserve at the end of the day. You

are a credit to your school and

    outstanding representatives. Your

    exemplary behaviour was once

again noticed by the other school.

    Congratulations is extended to three

of our students who are invited to

participate at the Mid North Coast

Cross Country event in Nana Glen

    on the 24th May.

Our students looked amazing in the

    School Photos

School photo day is Friday 7 June. Photo envelopes have been distributed today to

students. To ensure smooth operation for photographers, staff and students on the

day all envelopes must be returned with payment on or before the 7 June. Each

student has THEIR OWN ENVELOPE. Please do not put envelopes inside other

envelopes. The envelopes are not opened on the day and your child will miss out on

photos if their envelope is enclosed with another envelope.

If your child did not receive an envelope they are available from the office. Sibling

photo envelopes are also available from the office. Please read the envelopes

carefully and ensure all details are correct. Change cannot be given as the envelopes

are not opened by the school or the photographers on the day so please ensure you

have the correct money in the envelope.

  • Canteen and P & C News

P&C Meeting – Tuesday 21 May at 9am The canteen desperately needs volunteers otherwise it will not be able to continue operating 5 days a week. If you have any time to spare please come and speak with the canteen staff and fill the appropriate paperwork out at the office. This Saturday, 18 May, we will be holding a BBQ, bake sale from 8am. Donations of baked goods would be greatly appreciated. We would love to have some volunteers to help on the day if you have any time to spare. Our Seaworld Holiday Xmas raffle tickets are available from the office. The Sea World Holiday is our major prize and there will be other Christmas prizes drawn from the same tickets. Order forms will be sent out every few weeks with newsletters.
