Congratulations on the 500,000th Rational Unit
SelfCooking Center® inventor enjoys a well deserved celebration
Landsberg am Lech – On 1 June 2011, Rational
announced the assembly of its 500,000th unit.
The workforce took time out to receive the congratulations and enjoyed a well
deserved lunch to celebrate this momentous occasion. Ingo Rainer, Marketing
Director of Rational AG said, “Looking back on 500,000 units makes us particularly
proud and we would like to thank our loyal customers for placing their confidence
in Rational.”
110 million meals every day
Today some 110 million meals are prepared in Rational units all around the world
in canteens, restaurants or on board ship. And in the restaurant of the Berlin TV
tower, where the 500,000th Rational will go to supplement the two existing Self-
Cooking Center® units. “I have known Rational for over 20 years. Here at
Alexanderplatz we have been working with the SelfCooking Center® for years
as well, and are very satisfied with it. There was absolutely no question that
we would opt for Rational again,” explains Christina Aue, Managing Director of
