Dear Parents/Guardians
Next week is the launch of our end of year Book Fair. A wonderful array of books, posters and novelty items are available for purchase. The theme this year is dinosaurs and the students have helped Mrs Fabbro create a very imaginative Dinosaur Book Fair. Students have also participated in a colouring-in competition and these are on display for all to see. The classes across the school have supported the Book Fair theme by creating information posters, large cut out dinosaur posters and gardens. We look forward to you all visiting and supporting the Fair. It’s a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping. Our Prep Open Day is on Thursday the 24th October. The teachers are very excited to be meeting our future Prep students and look forward to sharing the teaching through Age Appropriate Pedagogies with you all. A list will be provided for parents to make an enrolment meeting to discuss your child’s entry into Home Hill State School Prep classes. If the times listed are not suitable, please contact administration to arrange a time that is more suitable for you. I look forward to meeting with you all. In week 5 the School Improvement Unit will visit to undertake their audit of the school. They will be speaking with all staff and will select parents to ring and talk with. This enables them to provide a direction for the school to enhance future learning and operation of the school. If you require further information, please feel free to contact administration. This week we saw more children and parents attending our Home Hill Hatchlings Playgroup. It was a very enjoyable and active morning for parents and their children. Home Hill Hatchlings Playgroup runs on a Thursday from 9-11am. Enrolments are now open for 2020! We think Home Hill State Primary is a great school and we look forward to meeting our new students in 2020. A reminder Prep enrolments for 2020 are now open. We would encourage you to come and collect an enrolment form for your child. For new or prospective Prep Students in 2020 we are holding a Prep Open Day on Thursday October 24th 9-11am in our Prep Precinct. Regards Judith White Principal
