Welcome to issue 36 of our magazine. How the year has flown. This is the third issue since we have come back online,

and the response from our readers has been amazing, so thank you to everyone for the continuing support. This issue we see some great news from all markets. We have some new Pop-Culture news from Band Da i Namco. In our board game section Ugames has your game night sorted with some amazing Adult Games. With all this and so much more we have a crammed packed issue. Competitions are scattered all through this issue. So make sure you keep and eye out for the “Want TO Win” logo as described below to see all the great comps in this issue. Angry Birds 2 is out this month, and we have a pile of passes to give away. lishing is proud to announce the first-ever comic

book foray of the s tarship Voyager into the Mir-

ror Universe under the license of CBS Consumer

Products! This October, the Star Trek: Voyager:

Mirrors and Smoke one-shot serves as the first of

several excurs ions into the realm of da rk doppel-

gängers, followed in time by one-shots focused

on The Original Series and Deep Space Nine, re-

spectively.

Written by Paul Allor (G.I. Joe) with paint-

ed art by Star Trek fan-favorite J.K. Wood-

ward (illustrator of the beloved Mirror Bro-

ken storyline), Voyager: Mirrors and Smoke introduces

Captain Janeway of the Voyager, a rebel ship stranded in

the Delta Quadrant, far from the ruins of the Terran Empire. When

Janeway crowns herself Pirate Queen of the Quadrant, the locals –

including scavengers Neelix and Kes – won’t give up without a

fight. Amid this conflict, the crew of the Voyager has a second

problem on their hands: just who is the Terran calling herself A nni-

ka Hansen, and can she be trusted?

“As a child, Star Trek taught me about the power of explora-

tion, the value of kindness and empathy, and the triumph of intelli-

gence and logic over violence and anger… and now, I am so excited

to throw all of those values out the window and te ll

the story of the Mirror Universe Voyager crew pil-

laging and plundering its way across the fa r reaches

of space!” says Allor.

“The Mirror Universe looks at characters –

and Star Trek as a whole – in a way that’s unique

IDW approached me about working on a Mir-

what a Voyager crew would be like in the Mirror

Universe, and based the look of the characters on

In 1951, Sir Hugh Beaver, the then

managing director of the Guinness Brewery,

went on a shooting party and became involved

in an argument. Which was the fastest game

PAX is a series of gaming conventions held in Seattle, Boston,

Melbourne, Philadelphia, and San Antonio. Founded by Jerry

Holkins and Mike Krahulik, authors of the popular web com-

and celebrating video and tabletop gaming.
