Editor’s Note
Hey everyone, happy Thanksgiving! I hope you’re all enjoying
your break. This past month, we have accomplished a lot
through two events: Halloween at the High and Coffeehouse.
Let’s keep up the good work with our upcoming events!
Without further ado, here’s the newsletter, starting with a
message from Jasmine. Enjoy!

President’s Message
Hey guys! We had a great month since the last newsletter. We had
two of our biggest events in the span of two weeks! Halloween at
the High finally happened, after two years of unfortunate natural
disasters. I hope you all had a great time, because I’m sure the
kids who attended did! Afterward, we had our annual Coffee
House. From this event, we raised about $665! That’s about 369
mothers and their future children’s lives that we saved from just
one event. Also, thanks to all of the performers and volunteers
on the serving and decorating committee. You guys were awe-
some! All of the work you guys put in does not go unnoticed;
keep up the good work and YOU might be the next Member of
the Month! Coming up in December, we have Movie Night. We
will be watching the Polar Express; food and drinks will be served
(at a very cheap price). I hope to see all of you there! Lastly, lieu-
tenant governor elections are coming up in January. Becoming
lieutenant governor is a great leadership role, an awesome way to
make friends, and a fun, unforgettable experience! If you have
any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me by Facebook or email.
Thanks for reading and have a great Thanksgiving!

2013-2014 President
Halloween at the High
On Halloween, dozens of PHS Key Clubbers gathered to par-
ticipate in our annual event, Halloween at the High. Since the
event was canceled due to Hurricane Sandy last year, many
were eager for this event. With face painting, games, a haunted
house, and more, we entertained the children and gave out
candy to their smiling faces.
Coffeehouse
On November 14th, our annual Coffeehouse took place in
the cafeteria. Students sang songs, read poetry, and performed
other forms of literature. The local band A Boy Named John
even played an acoustic set! Everyone had a good time drink-
ing coffee, eating food, and watching the performances; how-
ever, more importantly, we raised $664.40 through this event
to donate to the Elimate Project. That’s over 369 lives saved!
That is amazing. Thank you to everyone who came out to
support this event!
Upcoming Events
Movie Night (Dec. 12th 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.)
Our next Key Club event is movie night, where we’ll be
watching the holiday favorite, The Polar Express! To add to
the fun, the middle schoolers from Builder’s Club will be
joining us. Admission to the movie is free, but you can pur-
chase snacks and drinks during intermission. However, be-
tween now and the event, the officers will be selling dis-
counted snack package tickets in which you receive popcorn,
chips, and candy for $3.
