TBS COMMUNITY LIFE: MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM BUILDING Last  week,  Community  Life  Facilitator  Mrs.  Leslie  Blank  led  a  Middle  School  team  building  activity  to  discover  common  themes  between  Middle  School  students  at  The  Burlington  School.  The  group  discussed  the  following  themes  among  others:  Head:  What  are  our  big  dreams?;  Heart:  Where  do  our  passions  lie?  Eye:  How  do  we  want  people  to  see  us?  Nice  and  Kind…  Shoulders:  What  burdens  to  we  bear?  Homework…  Hands:  What  do  we  like  to  do  with  our  hands?  Sports  or  arts…;  Legs:  Where  do  we  want  to  go?    Leslie  remarked,  “There  was  a  lot  of  energy!  The  students  expressed  themselves  well.  They  shared  the  outcomes  at  the  end  of  the  exercise,  and  their  work  now  adorns  the  walls  in  the  Middle  School  hall.”

From  top:    TBS  Community  Life  Facilitator  Leslie  Blank  presents  the  activities  to  Middle  Schoolers  behind  the  Greenwood  Terrace  building  during  the  team  building  activity;  7th/8th

APPLE DAY: A HUGE SUCCESS!

The  Preschool  3  class  had  a  fabulous  Apple  Day  last  week!  Teacher  Shasta  Mitchell  thanked  Radhika  Kalisetti  (Riya's  Mom)  for  sending  in  apple  pie,  as  well  as  Tracy  Partin  (Lucy's  Mom)  for

helping  with  the  class’  Apple  fun  and  bringing  in  yummy  apples  to  make  applesauce.  Mrs.  Mitchell  sent  home  a  small  container  with  each  child  for  them  to  try  their  homemade  sauce.  The

Preschool  4  class  will  have  their  own  Apple  Day  this  coming  Friday!  Here’s  to  creativity  and  classroom  exploration!
