UPDATE FOR IHC MEMBERS IHC President s Report – 13th May 2020
Due to the current government restrictions associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic there was no general meeting held in April 2020. A special meeting of the IHC committee was re-quested by the President on the 13th May 2020 to discuss the impact of the recent easing of COVID-19 restrictions by the government on club activities. Management of Club Rides
The club committee has reviewed the latest government advice and determined the club sanc-tioned Sunday rides will remain cancelled until further notice, it was considered that weekday AM&PM rides will be allowed to commence as per the IHC calendar of events with the fol-lowing requirements: The person organizing the ride will record the names of all riders, to avoid passing around
the indemnity form and sharing pens etc.
Social distancing and maximum numbers as defined by the government requirements are
always adhered to.
The club will not be organising stops for morning/afternoon tea.
Impromptu rides can continue as previously advised.
Committee Meetings
Committee meetings will recommence as per scheduled. IHC AGM
The committee determined that under the current restrictions it would not be responsible or acceptable to try and organise the AGM at the current scheduled date of the 14th July 2020 and has therefore postponed the AGM to the 8th September 2020. The “OLD” Club Trailer
Approval was given by the club members for the committee to offer for sale the old club trail-er at the February General Meeting and I am now pleased to advise that the old trailer has been sold to the highest bidder and above the reserve price. Club Management Positions
The following management positions are required for the 2020/21 year and I strongly urge members to seriously consider nominating for these positions without these positions the club cannot function: Vice President Secretary Treasurer

ISOLATION Since we have been experiencing isolation lockdown and social distancing for some time, I thought I would ask a few club members how they had spent their time. John Coleman spent time fixing and falling off motorbikes. Bob Mitchell finally, after 15 years constructed a front fence much to Wilma’s delight. Neville Green hobbled around with a gammy knee which will need some repair work done soon, while Margaret did jigsaws. John Presland roamed around the roof cavity trying not to put his foot though the ceiling. I managed to complete things in the unfinished projects box. Richard Clark has not done any-thing exciting except house repairs, gardening etc. He did however with Danny Attwood’s ex-pertise get the beast “Big Red” fixed so is all set for the wide-open spaces again. Amanda spent time fishing and in her art room and more recently looking out at damaged fence from storm 1 & 2, time for new one! Faye and Ross have spent the time sawing, chop-ping and storing firewood from a tree that Ross had previously cut down. Most members I contacted spent the time finishing all unfinished projects, restoring & fixing bikes, ordering bits & pieces and wondering if and when they would arrive. Another task for the travellers was preparing their caravans for a quick getaway when we return to “normal”. Let us not forget the hardworking committee who have been beavering on behind the scenes to keep the club afloat with all the COVID19 rules and regulations. Stay Safe Leithal NEW MEMBER NOMINATIONS
