You have fifteen pens in your dorm, three in your pocket and two pencils in your bag. Do you know where they came from? These are from your teacher, your best friend, the person who sits next to you, the person you love the most, the person whose name (for the life of you) you can't remember and the person who you don't like very much. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the 'Black Tuck-shop'. What is the black tuck-shop? Well it is an idea, a programme, a work in progress, a reality. Beg. Borrow. Steal. 'A' took a pencil from 'B' for the science class and forgot all about returning it. The pencil stays with 'A' till the end of the day and when he remembers about the pencil he borrowed, instead of returning it, he quietly keeps it in his dorm. 'A' has indirectly joined the black tuck-shop'. Talk about signing up!
Now let’s look at another case. ‘P’
takes 'Q's house t-shirt because he
has misplaced his. He wears this
piece of clothing for the entire day
and then puts it aside. Before we
know it, the laundry day is upon us.
'P' holds on to the house t-shirt and
later checks it for an admission
number. Noticing that there isn't
one, soon writes his on it.
'P' is the Perfect fit for the
programme. There is always an
undercover black tuck-shop
member around you. You have just
got to keep your eyes open to spot
one and the next time you do, you
just might be surprised. For all you
know the person who looks back at
you in the mirror might be one too!
Such people would become great
villains in the coming future. God
Bless!

hAPPY cHILDREN'S dAY At the end of the second ILP, we ran to our dorms to change for
the cricket match. This was an interesting part of the day.
Teachers versus students! It was surprising to see the teachers so
excited for the match. They knew they were going to lose, and
guess what? They did.
At 4:30, we were called to the inauguration of the partnership of
our school with Mahesh Bhupati tennis academy. There was a
speech given by Mr. Gaurav Natekar, Mr. Anshul Pathak and the
Headmaster. As the tennis players resumed their game, the rest
of the school moved for some spicy noodles!
Soon after, there was a show put up by our beloved teachers in
the amphitheater. It was an astounding show which had all of us
engaged totally as we laughed to our hearts content. The teachers
danced, sang, recited poetry and played musical instruments too.
They also put up a hilarious skit which was so well enacted. The
teachers we had known for so long had such hidden talents, who
knew!
Now to jump to my favourite part, DINNER! Actually, like the
junior boys, I too ran for the mutton and naan, but before I could
even fill my plate, an extravagant band with some groovy tunes
to which we made the most of by tapping our feet and singing
along began to play. Their music was absolutely mesmerizing.
Singing and dancing to it while laughing, being carefree and
enjoying the moment was rejuvenating. None of us wanted the
evening to end and though the day ended for most of us, the
Agnians had another surprise waiting for them. All good things
come to an end and so did the day. It’s 12:01 AM and we have
school tomorrow. So, good night.
Dear Quin
Today morning, like most
mornings, I woke up very
reluctantly. But today it was even
harder to part with my cozy bed.
Guess why? We had the first two
classes only! I wanted to hit the
snooze button but then, I heard my
friends giggling and talking
excitedly amongst themselves. And
that is when it hit me- finally the
day we were waiting for (kind of)
had arrived. It was Children’s Day!
It would be full of surprises and
none of us could wait for the day to
unfold! We were speculating what
the teachers might do for us to
make it special. But the breakfast
was… nothing special. So much for
the excitement! But then the
assembly was an absolute blast.
Instead of the student choir, we had
a teachers’ choir. Honestly, it was
the first time some of the teachers
actually sang. During the
headmaster’s speech, he
mentioned a special surprise which
caught our attention and had us all
guessing.

Trump Travesty
If you have been watching the news, Trump has
been elected as the President of the United States of
America. Hilary Clinton, who was the candidate
from the Democratic party, lost by a close margin.
Unexpected for sure.
Donald J. Trump, the republican candidate, won on
9 November, 2016. An unfavourable leader for most
Americans as they wanted a person who had an
idea on how to work democratically, at least in my
opinion. Mr. Trump had strong competition but still
seems to have won somehow.
The president-elect has made remarks on certain
issues that are now in unstable conditions like
Obama Care, illegal immigrants and the gun policy.
Trump has also brought up the idea of 'White
America' wherein he intends to send back or deport
all the Blacks, Muslims and Mexican immigrants
that are staying in the country.
The Indian-Americans who have been on the
republican vehicle voted for him because he
played the 'Hindu card'. The republican
candidate had mentioned while giving a speech
that he loved the Hindu community and that he
would support India financially. Being a good
friend of our PM, Narendra Modi, he added a
short 30-sec video in one of his speeches which
said 'Ab ki baar, Trump Sarkaar'. Stealing the
BJP slogan, was a smart move to attract the
Indian crowd.
Trump will start his day of presidency in
January. When he will sit on the see-saw, the
world will disbalance. Well, Good luck America!

Writing About
Anything
When I asked Priya ma'am to suggest me
something to write about, she said I could
write about 'anything'.
When I asked Priya ma'am to

about, she said I could write
about 'anything'. The idea was
great! Perhaps not in the literal
sense but I thought about it and
reached upon new conclusions.
Penning down one's ideas or
feelings is one of the best ways
to deal with them especially
they pestered us. Usually we
write about a given topic with a
set aim which in my opinion
degrades our innate creativity
by limiting us.
Writing one’s heart out
whether in anger, sadness,
happiness or even guilt soothes
and rejuvenates the minds and I
hope, after reading this article,
you will write today, about
'anything'. Just pen it down and
feel good. It is perhaps one of

productive ways of dealing
with our inner thoughts and
also satisfies our conscience.
Umberto Eco, the writer of the
bestselling The Name of The
Rose, explains his habit of
writing every time he is free,
even when he is waiting for
someone, through the theory of
interstices. This is one fine
example of being productive
when most of us unthinkingly
choose to be unproductive. The
interstices are very small
intervening spaces that we do
not utilize. So let us make use
of these tiny gaps in a fruitful
manner. Carry a pen and a
small writing pad with you
wherever you go and scribble
when you can. You never know

Q. Why is India producing
only double players and not
singles?
--- India is producing both
doubles and singles. but
doubles are doing better,
because the land that they
have to cover is smaller and
Indians are traditionally good
at hand eye coordination. not
that the singles are doing bad.
Q. How does the sport help
in building overall
personality of school
children?
--- Sports teaches one a lot of
things and I am sure you guys
yourself have been told about
it a lot of times in the past . For
me sports has taught me the 3
Ds , Dedication, Determination
and Discipline.it has also
taught me focus and team
work . The game is not only
about a single player but the
team as a whole and if any one
of the player is having a bad
day , it reflects in his
performance and hence in turn
affecting the performance of
the whole team.
Q. Do you see any female
tennis players after Sania
Mirza?
--- know of quite a few girls
who have the potential to be at
par with Saina Mirza if not
better, and if they continue to
work towards their goal like
they currently are i believe we
will see a Sania Mirza down
the line . but that will take a
few years.
Q. How viable is tennis as a
sport compared to cricket,
given the latter's popularity
in India?
--- Cricket is very very popular
in India as we all know, it is a
team game and unlike cricket
where there is a limited no. of
people that can represent the
country, therefore many of the
good players out there don’t
make it. tennis on the other
hand, if you are a good player,
you make it.
Q. What made you opt. for
tennis? both as a sport and
then profession?
--- I don’t think that I chose
tennis but I think that tennis
chose me. I started playing at
the age of 5. Actually, there
was a gym-khana right
opposite to the place I lived in
Bombay and I used to people
playout there. and one day I
told my father that i wanted to
play and my journey began, at
the age of 29 I became a coach
and now here I am.
Q. Where do you see the
game of tennis in India years
down the line?
--- Tennis is slowly gaining
popularity and has been in the
spotlight for quite some time
now and due to the increase in
sponsors and them being used
effectively, the sport has been
established on better grounds.
Till date, India has produced
some very good players and 5
years down the line the nos of
such players are sure to
increase.
Q. What has been your
experience as a tennis
professional?
--- Tennis has not only given
me wealth but it has also
instilled in me a sense of
Mere Sawaalo ka Jawab do…..
" i didn't choose tennis, tennis chose me "
