WHAT IS PERSONALITY?
Enduring characteristics that describe an individual’s behaviour.
Sum of total of ways in which an individual reacts to and interacts with others.
Most often described in terms of measureable traits.
Origin :- Heredity or Environment Research tends to support heredity over
environment
WHAT IS PERSONALITY TEST?
Personality test is something that you access your behaviour.
May be of any one of the type:- i) FORMAL ii) INFORMAL
Examples:- The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator The Big Five Personality Model
HOW PERSONALITY TEST IS USEFUL? A personality test is useful to categorize
different kinds of people reacting to different environment.
Useful for recruiting the job candidates in terms of following factors:-
To assess the person’s knowledge. Capability of Problem solving. Changing personality. To evaluate the effectiveness of therapy.

Reliability is the measure of precision whereas validity is the measure of accuracy.

Entertaining There are different personality
assessments test conducted, but personality scores and personal skills are two different things.
There are a lot of “INFORMAL" tests. They might even give you a little insight
into your personality, but they are in no way formal, scientific assessments of personality.
