The judges, a panel of leading farm machinery journalists from across Europe, assessed the T8.420 Auto Command™ as being able to offer ultimate in-field performance in high speed cultivation tasks, ideal for large scale cash crop farmers, hay and forage contractors together with large dairies and transport intensive operations. “This award testifies the hard work and dedication of all those involved in the development of the T8 Auto Command™.” stated Carlo Lambro, Brand President New Holland Agriculture. “This important industry award is a great recognition of the innovative approach we take to product development and the benefits this has for our customers and moreover of our commitment to developing state of the art technology, which improves the efficiency, productivity and sustainability of the world’s farmers.”
The six model T8 Series line-up, with outputs ranging from 273 hp to 419 hp, is powered by efficient ECOBlue™ SCR Cursor 9 engines, developed in collaboration with FPT Industrial, and delivering Tier 4A emissions compliance. New Holland has tailored its Auto Command™ transmission for the T8 range to perfectly match its dimensions and usage profile. The Auto Command™ transmission uses intuitive force-based logic and is controlled via the ergonomic CommandGrip™ handle, identical to that found on T7 Auto Command™ models.

THE GREAT BLANDFORD BAKE OFFStaff from C&O Tractors’ Blandford Depot raised over £416 for BBC’s Children In Need by holding the Great Blandford Bake Off. Staff from all departments, their families and friends spent hours baking delicious entries for the four categories of the competition; small bakes, large cakes, savoury and novelty.
Over 40 entries were received with an amazing selection of cakes and bakes displayed around a New Holland Boomer 35 tractor. Judges for the event were C&O Managing Director Andy Coles’ ‘in-laws’ Nancy and Alan Roberts, who did a magnificent and very professional job. The winners in each category were; Small cakes, and overall winner - Parts Manager Kevin Wiggin’s daughter Shannon for some beautiful rose iced cupcakes, Large Cakes - Parts Richard Francis’ sister Glenda for a
fabulous coffee cake, Novelty Cakes - Wilton Depot Manager Paul Shutler’s daughter Samantha for an extremely tasty chocolate cake and Savoury - Admin Assistant Nicky Standford for a delicious quiche.
Once judging was completed all the cakes & bakes were sold to staff, customers and staff from neighbouring businesses.
A big thank you to all who baked, contributed, bought cakes, took part, raised money and also enjoyed a lovely bit of cake!
