Program Overview

More than half of respondents (57%) use 5 or more tools to monitor their IT infrastructure.

Almost half of respondents (48%) monitor in excess of 1000 IT infrastructure elements.

Responders report being plagued by time-wasting manual processes (56%), siloed and specialized IT tool sets (47%), and the cost, complexity, and limitations this redundancy creates (35%).

The most widely reported limitations of respondents’ current monitoring tools: No unified monitoring view (69%) and poor analytics (50%).

Responders rate their ability to monitor/manage storage, servers, databases, and networks fairly highly. Satisfaction falls off sharply with the ability to manage end-user experience, cloud and big data environments.

Less than 10% of respondents are “highly satisfied” with their current IT monitoring tools.
