My Grandma read me a book about Diwali

The book said Diwali is celebrated because Goodness

won over Evil

My Grandma says if I do good things I win too

So I always share my things with my friends

Amma Appa and I went to buy new clothes for Diwali

I bought a few dresses in my favorite colors

Amma and Appa made a lot of yummyfood

Mixture chakli ladoo barfi and evenchocolate cake My favorite is the

ribbon pakoda and Peda

Make the Diwali Peda RecipeIngredientsSweet condensed milk ndash 1 can (14 oz)Milk powder ndash 3 cupsGhee or clarified butter ndash 14 cupSaffron ndash 2-3 strandsLuke warm water ndash 3 tbspsLuke warm milk ndash 3 tbspsFood color - few drops (colors of your choice)

StepsSoak the saffron in luke warm water for 5 minutesMix the sweet condensed milk milk powder and thesoaked saffron with water in microwave safe bowlMix well and microwave for a minuteNow add the ghee and milk and mix wellLet it microwave for 3 minutes and keep stirring it forevery one minuteDonrsquot leave it without stirring for more than 15 minutesLet it cool down for about 20 minutesNow makes balls out of the cooked mixture and makeyour desired shapes

Tomorrow is Diwali We decorate ourhouse with Torans

We then decided to make a big kolam

On Diwali day I woke up first

Appa and Amma were surprisedI even washed my hair without crying

I wore my new dressAmma wore a saree

Appa and I helped her with the pleats

Appa said Amma looked like a queen I thought shelooked like a Princess

We ate all the yummy food

I also helped Amma take some goodiesto my friends house

In the evening we took out the decorated diyas andlit them

Amma Appa asked me to be careful

Then we went to light some sparklers Our house looked so beautiful

It was the best Diwali we celebrated

StepsSoak the saffron in luke warm water for 5 minutesMix the sweet condensed milk milk powder and thesoaked saffron with water in microwave safe bowlMix well and microwave for a minuteNow add the ghee and milk and mix wellLet it microwave for 3 minutes and keep stirring it forevery one minuteDonrsquot leave it without stirring for more than 15 minutesLet it cool down for about 20 minutesNow makes balls out of the cooked mixture and makeyour desired shapes

Mixture chakli ladoo barfi and evenchocolate cake My favorite is the

ribbon pakoda and Peda

Make the Diwali Peda RecipeIngredientsSweet condensed milk ndash 1 can (14 oz)Milk powder ndash 3 cupsGhee or clarified butter ndash 14 cupSaffron ndash 2-3 strandsLuke warm water ndash 3 tbspsLuke warm milk ndash 3 tbspsFood color - few drops (colors of your choice)

StepsSoak the saffron in luke warm water for 5 minutesMix the sweet condensed milk milk powder and thesoaked saffron with water in microwave safe bowlMix well and microwave for a minuteNow add the ghee and milk and mix wellLet it microwave for 3 minutes and keep stirring it forevery one minuteDonrsquot leave it without stirring for more than 15 minutesLet it cool down for about 20 minutesNow makes balls out of the cooked mixture and makeyour desired shapes

Appa and Amma were surprisedI even washed my hair without crying

I wore my new dressAmma wore a saree

Appa and I helped her with the pleats

Appa said Amma looked like a queen I thought shelooked like a Princess

We ate all the yummy food

I also helped Amma take some goodiesto my friends house

In the evening we took out the decorated diyas andlit them

Amma Appa asked me to be careful

Then we went to light some sparklers Our house looked so beautiful

It was the best Diwali we celebrated

Make the Diwali Peda RecipeIngredientsSweet condensed milk ndash 1 can (14 oz)Milk powder ndash 3 cupsGhee or clarified butter ndash 14 cupSaffron ndash 2-3 strandsLuke warm water ndash 3 tbspsLuke warm milk ndash 3 tbspsFood color - few drops (colors of your choice)

StepsSoak the saffron in luke warm water for 5 minutesMix the sweet condensed milk milk powder and thesoaked saffron with water in microwave safe bowlMix well and microwave for a minuteNow add the ghee and milk and mix wellLet it microwave for 3 minutes and keep stirring it forevery one minuteDonrsquot leave it without stirring for more than 15 minutesLet it cool down for about 20 minutesNow makes balls out of the cooked mixture and makeyour desired shapes

We ate all the yummy food

I also helped Amma take some goodiesto my friends house

In the evening we took out the decorated diyas andlit them

Amma Appa asked me to be careful

Then we went to light some sparklers Our house looked so beautiful

It was the best Diwali we celebrated
