Now we will be taking a tour to the Italian Art History
Museum, to learn the different kinds of arts.
Just don’t touch that art, its very old, and PRICELESS!!
Art has been a part on Italian landscape for many years. In
Rome (the capital) people of the streets paint their homes and
public buildings to design and decorate the streets that they
live in, to amuse everyone who walks by. They use many
mixtures of colors to make the town look good.
Some other museums in Italy, such as Florence, Naples,
and Rome internationally renowned art collections. And yes,
they did not steal the art, they renowned it. Even some of the
worlds greatest Western painters, architectures, and sculptors,
are from Italy. And their art is now displayed in these museums.
Some of the world’s greatest artists are Michelangelo, Devinci,
and Caravaggio.
Did you know that Italians are the inventors or the opera,
musical notions, and the piano? Vary interesting. There are so
many Opera houses in Italy. One of the most famous Opera
houses is the Sydny Opera house.
Italians are very passionate about Opera. Many of the world’s
greatest Opera songs, like Aida and Madame Butterfly, were
composed by Italians. Enrico, Caruso, and Luciano, Pavartti are
well – loved Italian Opera singers of the 20th century.
There are many Italian sports. Soccer, cycling, skiing, car
racing, tennis, volleyball, fencing, horse racing, hunting, fishing,
hiking and basketball are only a few of the sports Italians play.
Soccer is by far the most popular sport in Italy. There are
18 soccer teams in the leagues first division. On Sundays almost
all the people are at league matches. Italy won the world cup 3
times and was runner up in 1994.
The other popular sports are volleyball, basketball, and
cycling. Their national volleyball team won the world title in
1994. Italy has won more world cycling championships than any
other country except Belgium. Coppi and Bartali are cycling
legends in Italy. Next to soccer, basketball is the next popular
sport. Only two Italians were able to graze the NBA dream.
Bocce is another traditional Italian game. It’s like bowling
only played on a dirt court with wooden balls. You toss the balls
and try to hit the larger wooden ball. Bocce is strictly Italian.
In Italy, breakfast is normally light, consisting of a cup of
coffee or a cappuccino, a cornetto, a cream filled croissant, or
bread with jam or honey.
The first items on the family table are appetizers. That
includes cold meats, vegetables, olives, and artichoke hearts.
Traditionally, the main meal, weather lunch or dinner, includes
3 courses: fish, pasta, meat, and vegetables.
Pizza was originated in Naples, Italy in the 1700’s. Pizza
means pie in Italian. Italian pizza isn’t the same as American
pizza; it differs from region to region.
After people’s meals, Italians love coffee. Their imaginable
ways with beverages are appreciated through out the world.
Italians also love fruit because Italy has a big fruit industry.
