On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, it is with great pride and honor, I welcome all distinguished guests, delegates and trade professionals from domestic and international tourism and travel

organizations participating in the 12th edition of the International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City – ITE HCMC 2016.

ITE HCMC has established itself as Vietnam’s key annual international tourism event. ITE HCMC has been an opportunity for countries in the Mekong Basin including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and international organizations to gather in Ho Chi Minh City. Following eleven successful consecutive events, ITE HCMC has actively contributed to the strong development in regional cooperationinthefieldoftourism,enhancingthepromotionofthecountries, people and cultures of ASEAN countries contributing to sustainable development of tourism industry and the ASEAN region.
